Three versions of me. One life.

The man on the left had two legs, a normal routine, a career he was building, a gym he loved, and plans for the future.

Then 12 June 2023 changed everything.

The man in the middle had lost his leg.

But losing a leg was only the beginning.

There were infections, surgeries, countless procedures, months in hospitals, strong antibiotics, pain, uncertainty, and days when I didn’t know what life would look like again.

I became an amputee.

And then came the hardest part, not just learning to walk again, but learning to see myself differently.

The man on the right is not the same man from the left or the middle.

Today, I walk with a prosthetic leg. I work. I train. I go out. I live my life.

I didn’t get my old life back.

I built a new one.

If I could speak to the man in the middle, I’d tell him:

“You’re going to lose a part of your body, but don’t believe you’ve lost your future.”

You will struggle. You will fall. You will question yourself.

But one day, you’ll look back and realize how far you’ve come.

Alhamdulillah for every step. 🤍

A special thank you to my wife @nabeeha_umer1 who stood beside me through some of the darkest chapters of my life, and to Gul bhai @bawbarzz who played such an important role in helping me take my first steps toward this new life with my prosthesis, @izaanaarif and his circle, and @umer.imran30 and his circle for supporting me through some of the hardest parts of this journey.

To my friends, colleagues, doctors, supporters, family and relatives thank you for every prayer, visit, call, kind word, encouragement, and for simply believing in me.

I may not be able to name everyone, but I have not forgotten what you did for me.

Some helped me heal.

Some helped me keep going.

Some gave me hope when I had very little left.

This journey changed my life, but I never walked it alone.

JazakAllah Khair to every single one of you. 🤍
