TRYN’s “STSB” is a R&B transcendence that was once a poem hanging up in her garage. TRYN’s clever take on figurative language makes an ordinary everyday snack (goldfish) into a playful love song. Her elegant cadence and angelic sound delivers a whimsical love song for all the girls who love girls around the world.

“A person with creative control has the authority to decide how the final product will appear.”

There’s an internal belief in a lot of creatives, especially those who are black and brown, that we have to do everything independently. A lot of us feel like we may lose artistic integrity when trying to elevate ourselves because of the industries and gatekeepers that have taken hold of our creative outlets.

In past years I’ve had a ton of ideas that have been skewed because they didn’t fit the vision of those the gatekeepers I was sharing them with. But over the past year I’ve immersed myself into my local community and found that all I’ve ever needed to see my creative vision come to fruition lie in the people, places, and things already around me. @issarae said it best, network out, not up.

Creative Control is a space to intentionally connect, share ideas and resources, and spark collaboration, in effort to see our individual and collective vision come to life.

Come hang with the community and find your next partner or supporters, or even be that for somebody else.

See you soon.

Go RSVP in my bio.

luv, z 🫶🏾
