Double post because my Bay Bay had her first high school XC meet. She used to follow me at every practice/race growing up and now it’s her turn to shine. Couldn’t be prouder and it was the TCPS course, nevertheless. #IYKYK

Bay Bay,

I walked into your life when you were 7. Whew! I can’t believe we have doubled the time I’ve been in your life. I have loved and been so privileged to watch you grow, learn, and become the lady we are so, so proud of. You give us so much JOY and laughter. We love your personality and your heart for others. You are our little girl and I couldn’t be anymore grateful to be your bonus mom. 14 YEARS OLD- where has the time gone?! We love you so, so much and celebrate you today and always💗 HAPPY 14th BIRTHDAY TO OUR BAY BAY!!

basketball has ALWAYS been a constant in my life, shaping my character beyond the scoreboard and teaching me lessons that i will carry long after the final buzzer. basketball taught me how to stay committed, how to show up on hard days, and how to keep pushing even when things didn’t go my way. even through challenges, this game pushed me to grow in ways i never expected. this season did not go the way i hoped at all, but the lessons and memories will last far longer than any record ever could. i give ALL the glory to god!!!! he allowed me to step on the court and play to the best of my ability, he provided me with protection, and he gave me the strength when i needed it most. none of this would have been possible without him guiding me through every high and low. im so thankful for my coaches who poured into me, challenged me, and helped shape me into a better athlete and person. thank you to my teammates for the laughter, hard work, and the memories that made two middle school seasons special. a huge thank you to my family and friends for showing up, cheering loudly, and standing by me no matter the outcome. i am ending one chapter and stepping into the next. freshman season loading⏳#35outfornow
