Find comfort in the uncomfortable.

This summer, I had the opportunity to be a part of the Journey of Hope TransAmerica team, riding 4,500 miles from Seattle to Washington, D.C. Along the way, we traveled through communities across the country raising money and awareness for individuals with disabilities, while stopping to spend time with local organizations.

What started as a bike ride across the country became one of the most challenging, meaningful, and rewarding experiences of my life. The long days on the bike, the places we traveled through, and the people we met along the way gave purpose to every mile and made this summer something I will never forget.

Thank you @abilityexp and TransAm ‘26 for this incredible experience.

WE MADE IT!!
San Francisco -> Washington DC. 4000 miles 15 states and 63 days of cycling. Words can’t explain how magical this journey has been, all the wonderful organizations and people we met along the way have changed my life. I couldn’t be more proud to announce that we collectively raised $575,000 to help people with disabilities over the course of the summer. Thanks so much to everyone who supported our mission and made this possible. ⚔️

Things that were hard to bear are sweet to remember

Although my summer didn’t start the way I had wanted, with two more back surgeries and two weeks in the hospital, it reminded me that life doesn’t always go according to plan. It doesn’t matter how the story begins, but what we choose to make of it.
Despite the setbacks, I was still able to bike across the country for something far greater than myself. Between the people we met, I found a version of myself I didn’t know existed. I made lifelong friendships, unforgettable memories, and a new perspective on what it means to be present.
Looking back, it truly was the best summer of my life. I’m not the same man I was two months ago, and I don’t think I ever will be.

This summer, brothers Saidou Diallo, Sebastian Wedemeyer, Ronan Geoffrey, Dain Crnojevic, Anthony DeGuzman, Aidan Tobin, and Oscar Baza-Cabrera took on an unforgettable challenge: biking across the country from the West Coast all the way to Washington DC.

What began as a journey across thousands of miles became a summer filled with perseverance, adventure, and purpose.

From taking in the breathtaking views of the Grand Tetons in Wyoming, to traversing the bustling streets of Chicago, our brothers experienced the beauty and diversity of the country from the seat of a bike.

Every mile brought a new challenge, a new destination, and another opportunity to grow together. However, this ride was about more than reaching the finish line. Throughout the journey, our brothers partnered with and visited foundations and organizations across the country that support individuals with mental and physical disabilities. Along the route, they took part in a variety of activities and service opportunities, helping raise awareness and create meaningful connections with the communities and people they visited.

hundreds of miles. Countless memories. One incredible purpose. Welcome home! ODH ⚔️
