POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Saturday September 12 - Gregg-o-Mania!!!

2 stages, warm places and 1 ring.

We will have 3 levels of wristbands
- Ready to Rumble (Green)-
Maybe It's Gravy (Yellow)
and fuck no I'm just here to rave (red).

This rave is in tribute to my attorney-at-outlaw, the late and great Gregg DancesFreely, who wrestled as The Festival. You don't have to know Gregg to come. Gregg wasn't about that sad shit so we will honour him by raving hard and committing to the bit. Come as your favourite wrestlers or make up a character or just be yourself. We be free like that.

If you want to do a work (wrestling shit) then pre-plan it with whoever is involved. Don't be a dipshit and go overboard, especially if you don't know what the fuck you're doing. We are all about peace, respect and responsible raving.

Gregg's Garden will be mostly house and has a ring in the lawn past the dancefloor. The Wicked Willow stage will be dnb and bass music and will be more chill on the wrestling if you just want to rave. Each stage will have a propane fire living room and there will be a warm place to sleep for tenters plus a secret party trailer. Please do not come in the house unless you are a volunteer or by permission.

We are being slightly more open with this one so if you've always wanted to come then this is your chance. Please reach out to me (Gio) or AJ McDonald to go through the vetting process.

This is a private party so don't expect to show up and be let in. We are super pro- queer and anti-fascist as fuck. So if you are not Fee- 🍉 or pro-🌈 then stay the fuck home.

Spaced are limited so get on it. Rave on!

Sunday school is back to celebrate our 12th year holding firm presenting our infamous D&B patio party!

Our vision is marked by a focus on Charity, Love, and Community as we use the healing power of Drum & Bass to transform our Lives, Souls, and very World around us to heal hurts, give thanks, love each other, share knowledge and wisdom, and to dance and celebrate in a way never seen before! ALL ARE WELCOME.

Episode 02: "PENTECOST"

The Sunday School gang gathers to lament that the healing message of Drum & Bass cannot reach all. In their doubt and dismay they are filled with the Holy Spirit and suddenly find themselves with the power to reach the people of all nations! They rush out from the school with tongues of ‘fiya' to spread the gospel of D&B to the people, filled with a zeal they’ve never encountered before! Will they spread the message before it’s too late? Will the people have ears to hear?? Will the dread purpose of wicked Babylon stand in their way??? TUNE IN THIS WEEK TO FIND OUT!!!

What an incredible birthday party Denen and I had last night! 🥰 Thank you so much to everyone who attended, to all the amazing talent that played all night long, and huge appreciation to Ryan and Celine for bringing all of the equipment, speakers and lights and setting it up, and to Tasha for spending hours helping me clean beforehand. ❤️

Without you all, there is no me. 🥹

Almost finished the March pick for the Allendale Book Club! 📚 What are you reading right now? 🐱

📖: A Tree Grows In Brooklyn by Betty Smith

“Betty Smith’s A Tree Grows in Brooklyn has enchanted millions of readers over the past seventy-five years. A poignant tale filled with laughter and heartache, crowded with life, incident, and unforgettable characters, Smith’s beloved novel tells the story of Francie Nolan and her bittersweet formative years growing up in the Williamsburg slums of Brooklyn, New York, at the turn of the twentieth century. The daily experiences of idealistic young Francie are raw with honesty and tenderly threaded with family connectedness. Smith has created a work of literary art that brilliantly captures a unique time and place as well as deeply resonant moments of universal experience. Here is an American classic that “cuts right to the heart of life,” hails the New York Times. “If you miss A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, you will deny yourself a rich experience.”
