Finished up the Mountain Music Kids Fishing Tournament Classic on Cherokee Lake today with a 2nd-place finish.
The wind made for a challenging day on the water, but Drake Hemby and I were able to put together a solid bag and finish the day with a strong result.
This tournament marked our final event fishing together as a team this year, and I’m thankful we were able to end it on a high note. We’ve made a lot of memories on the water, and I’m glad to have shared this season with Drake.
I’d like to give a special thank you to Smoky Mountain H2O Sports for their support. As a family-owned business on Douglas lake, they’ve earned multiple TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice awards and built a reputation as one of the premier boat and watercraft rental companies in East Tennessee through their commitment to customer service and helping families create lasting memories on the water.
Thank you as well to White Pine Marine, Bucks N Bass, Dewayne Wilson-Dixie Custom Rods, BBA Jerseys, and Extreme Vinyl Graphics for their continued support.
While this was our last tournament as a team this year, both Drake and I still have a few individual events left, and I’m looking forward to finishing the season strong.
Blessed beyond measure. God is good.

Finished up the season with a 20th place finish! Definitely a sub par season, but that’s fishing and we have 2027 to look forward too! Qualified for Redcrest and Heavy Hitters next year too! Thank you to all of my sponsors, family, and friends that support me every year! Next up is the Team series!

Fun week at Kentucky Lake for the @bassmasterhighschool national championship. Had a tough tournament and didn’t finish the tournament how we expected but learned a lot and ready to go after it again next year

I had a great time fishing the mountain music kids tournament on Douglas lake! I got to volunteer with the casting contest, and loved getting to help the kids. Me and Drake Hemby took 9th place and qualified to fish the classic, with 3 fish for a weight of 6.12 pounds!

The road for the regular season high school tournaments has officially come to an end for me and @grady_stanley_fishing. We fished the last Bassmaster Eastern tournament of the season on the Chowan River today and brought in 21.45 pounds, which was good enough for 2nd place.

It was a lot of fun getting out there and fishing water we’d never seen before, just going off instinct and feel. It’s pretty crazy to look back and realize that the first tournament me and Grady ever won was on this river, and now to wrap up our regular season here with another strong finish is something special.

Looking back on how far we’ve come and what we’ve accomplished together is pretty wild. We’re grateful for the opportunity and excited for what’s ahead. Can’t wait to see the future ahead for grady. Keep the ball rolling.

Wrapped up the last Bassmaster Mountain Trail tournament with @grady_stanley_fishing. We were fortunate enough to finish in 2nd place with 15.93 pounds. It was a tough day for sure, and we had a chance at a mega bag, but just couldn’t get a few key fish in the boat. We also ended up winning the Mountain Trail Points Championship. We’ve got one more run with ole Grady on the river, and it should be a fun one!
