My son, Zach is amazing! I got to spend this past weekend with him in Vegas, I flew there to hang out, go fishing, eat some good food, and share our Christmas time since Kimberly and I will be in New Jersey with her family on Christmas day. It hurts not to spend that day with him and Seneca, and that’s the way life goes sometimes. The weekend was amazing, though! We went ice-skating on Monday and even though he hadn’t been since August, Zach can still do moves that would challenge NHL players! Me? I only fell five times. My legs hurt. I have blisters on both feet. And fishing? He caught a 1 pound striper, and I fed all the fish he’ll catch next time with my bait.

However, it’s like my brilliant songwriter friend, Tim Bays wrote in a beautiful song that Mike Cross recorded…

“The important part of fishing ain’t the fish, but the fishing, the important part of loving is the love. The important part of doing most anything you’re doing is you’re doing it with all of your heart.“
