Am I the only one whose favorite shape is a circle?
⁣
Circles are just soothing for the eyes and the soul, and I use them everywhere in my art work. I have them coming out of my ears, I have so many papers with circles, but never enough. So during today's call for the @bbhenry_art masterclass I did just that, made circles because I needed something to keep my hands occupied while I was watching what she was doing and listening what she was talking about. ⁣
⁣
Old book pages, water color and a dauber is all it takes to make a stack of fun papers to later on use in a journal. ⁣

Design is more than colors and fonts-it’s about
creating connections, building trust, and helping
businesses stand out.

When you're low energy, but you still want to show up for yourself creatively, mark making is where it's at for me. ⁣⁣
⁣
I spent about half an hour doodling around with markers and some paint and a stencil and voila, I showed up, I feel better and I made some cool stuff for my journal ⁣for the @bbhenry_art masterclass. ⁣
⁣
I call that a win on a day I really wanted to stay in bed.

Give your hardwork a new form
To make it an unfading memory.
A piece that you would be proud of.
A journal that displays your potential.
The practice papers, exam ticket, omrs ,the burger ordered due to anxiety, timetable, schedules , some journal and motivational lines that kept them going, and finally the results ...
Theres too much to add to a journal.
Added #neonpink to show i am so happy.

Took this sketchbooking session from @bbhenry_art and @inky.mia mia
It made me open a new door of creativity.

The most beautiful person is the hardworking person. I read this somewhere.

So when are u creating yours. You need help to create yours ? Dm me, i am ready to help you.

USE WHAT YOU HAVE ♻️💕🙏🏻 … is not just a saying but truly a mantra of mine.

Yesterday I had the luxury of creating together with two @fodder.school friends @diannabritt and @marianneeilso whom I also just went to Paris with in August 💞

I have been gathering and piling a lot of paper lately as we have put our house for sale - so I grabbed a few boxes of fodder, ephemera and focal points and started glueing it all together 💖

The base of the collages are #frankenpaper designed earlier this year with @bbhenry_art - and the focal points are watercolor and @artfoamies botanicals 🌸🌿💕

The base of the collages are Indian hand made paper and the green frame is @clairefontaine_finearts Grey Green mixed media paper that I bought recently in Hamburg together with @mariamuellerleinweber 🛍️

Now they just need to be framed 🖼️💫

I choose a palette I normally wouldn't use based upon a backing paper on my table. Love the colors!!!

Dyed these as part of BB Henry's Art Journal Masterclass!!

You don't need an art class, you need a "get out of your head" class. ⁣
⁣
One of the things I love most about the @bbhenry_art Masterclass is the freedom that lies within it. Yes she teaches techniques and how to put a kick ass uniquely you journal together but what she teaches most is how to do that without compromising who you are as an artist and without having to step outside of your comfort zone of how you like to do things. ⁣
⁣
You see, THAT is the hallmark of a great teacher. One who teaches you things in the way YOU learn, not in the way they teach. The kicker is that it's up to you, to take what she offers and figure out how to make that work within your own art practice. ⁣
⁣
Case in point: she was dying fabrics and papers with all the colors with a volume and speed fitting her experience but that was completely overwhelming to my brain. So after sitting here completely frozen for a few days and some great ideas and encouragement from the masterclass community I figured out I don't have to do it the way she does it. The point was to do it the way it works for me which in my case is, start with one color and one medium. ⁣
⁣
So today I started with 1 color in my palette which is blue, and one medium which is acrylic ink. I dyed some fabrics and frankenpapers that are now happily drying in the sun. Tomorrow I am going to try some other blues with acrylic paint and see where that goes.⁣
⁣
Am I going at the same speed as she is? Nope. Is it going to blend as well as her stuff? Also nope. Did I get out of my head and unstuck and did I find a way to adjust her teachniques to my own art practice and can I develop them from there? Yep! Am I happy I got unstuck? Also yep! 😀⁣

Just 18 days away until this epic event begins! I can’t wait to share how powerful essential oils are! I hope you’re able to take my class and enjoy the other incredible artists who are part of Making Zen this year! I’ve included just a handful of them here! @_sporeplay Madge is even local for those in MA! Filled with gratitude and hoping you all get a chance to love this as much as I do!

💙🖤 Finally finished my journal from @bbhenry_art Jumpstart! I am in love with this style and have a few more partially done since instead of finishing one journal, I started making every step with different colors.
