Do you love yourself? Do you like yourself?

Are you comfortable being alone? Do you enjoy your own company? Do you still think your joke is funny if no one laughs, your art is moving if no one understands it, your ideas are smart if someone disagrees?

Do you feel confident walking into a room where you don’t know anyone? Can you dine alone or go to a movie by yourself? 🫶

I didn’t always feel these things. I was very shy and self conscious growing up. I was very concerned with other people’s opinions.

But now, ahhh now it’s different. I do like myself. I know my worth. I enjoy my own company. I feel confident and am not afraid to share my thoughts and ideas. I love going to the movies alone or just having alone time at home. I laugh at almost all of my own jokes. 🤣

What changed? For me it was a mixture of heartbreak, freedom and getting older. 🎉

You can skip some of that though and go right to the good stuff.

Want to know how? Drop me a ❤️ and I’ll send you something that will help.

(And let me be clear that I don’t think you should ONLY live for yourself. But as someone who always put myself last and ended up in very unhealthy situations, choosing myself, removing toxic people from my life and setting healthy boundaries improved not only my life, but the lives of the people I love most.)

P.S. A few years ago I got to photograph four women in the ocean in CT and it was a magical experience! ✨

When I first met Sabina I thought “I MUST photograph this woman.”

It took some convincing. She almost canceled on me the morning of. But, damn I’m glad she didn’t. 🔥

One of my hidden talents is I can look at someone and imagine exactly what their photos will look like. No surprise, these came out just as I imagined.

Sabina, you are a mermaid goddess (but I already knew that.) 🧜‍♀️

One of my favorite parts of photography is picturing a shot in my head and then nailing it on camera.

But my real favorite part is photographing people I love and showing them how beautiful they are. ❤️

Confident Girl Summer shoots continue. This time At Madison Beach in Connecticut!

I had four of my favorite women with me and we had so much fun, even though the shells hurt our feet and the water was cold. #worthit

Afraid to be in front of the camera? Grab a few girlfriends and just go have fun. I guarantee you won’t regret it!

Shot with my new #sonymirrorless a6000 and 35mm lens.
