The Grizz traveled down to salem Friday night to take on the McNary Celtics of Keizer.
The Grizzlies got off to a great start on defense, when Nick Gibson(Sr. OLB) forced a fumble on the opening drive for the Celtics, that was recovered by Senior Safety Grayson Seehawer.
The Grizz marched down the field and finished the drive with a 2 yard TD run by Hayden Church. (Sr. RB)
The next Celtic possession would end in a similar fashion, this time by way of an interception by Tyler Ackerman (Sr. Safety). The Grizz would once again capitalize on the turnover, this time with a 36 yard strike from Junior Quarterback Kane Sullivan to Gabe Blanco. (Sr. WR) Blanco went up with 2 defenders, but was the only one to come down on his feet, and he scampered for the 36 yard touchdown bringing the score to 12-0 after a missed PAT.
The Celtics would respond with a touchdown drive, bringing our halftime score to 12-7 in favor of the Grizz.
The Grizz would strike again in the third quarter on a Kane Sullivan 2 yard touchdown run to bring the score to 19-7. Penalties would stall the Grizz next two drives, as the Celtics capitalized with 2 unanswered scores, however two missed PAT’s by the Celtics kept the game at a 19-19 tie mid way thru the 4th quarter.
The Grizz would put together a drive mid way through the fourth quarter, finishing with another short Hayden Church TD, his second of the game.

The defense would hold strong two more times to seal the victory for the Grizz, finishing with a Bryce Wilson (Jr. DB) interception on the last play of the game.

Sullivan would finish 9/14 passing for 107 yards and one TD. He would also add 23 Carries for 154 yards and another TD.
Church finished with 17 carries for 161 yards and the 2 TD’s.
Grayson Seehawer also added 55 yards on 5 Carries to the ground attack that amassed over 400 total rushing yards combined.
Gabe Blanco led all receivers with 4 catches for 72 yards and a TD. He also contributed to the run game with 14 yards on 2 carries.

Huge thanks to @bbombmedia for all the photos from Friday nights game! He will soon be leaving us for college, and we greatly appreciate all the work he has done over the last few years!
