In the early 2000s, I poured my heart into these events. We didn’t have much, yet somehow we had everything that mattered. Long before YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook, we were finding ways to document and share our culture with the world.

Looking back, it’s incredible to think about what we built with so little, especially for a culture that has often been misunderstood or dismissed as unprofessional.

To this day I find Breakin to still be the most fascinating thing a human can do with their body.

When the Music Matters Most, Moments are made.

@myguy_wayne and I imagined this week happening in 2024 at IBE, when we heard and met @nobunagalewing for the first time. Visioning a week of events where we create a series of events based off of the DJ, and now that it’s all said and done, I’m so inspired to continue down this journey!!!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support us at Versus, Skill check, 31Svn Kids Battle, or Boilerbreakers 20 year Anniversary!!!

This week has been one for the books.
And to think, this year is still just getting started.

See you all soon!

⚡️ ANNOUNCING OUR JUDGES ⚡️

Bboy Evol - The Chicago General. Breaking since the late ’90s. Representing Brickheadz Crew & Chicago worldwide, Evol is a foundational part of the city’s history and a major reason Chicago’s breaking scene is known across the globe.

Known for dynamic power and an infinite vocabulary, Evol brings nearly 30 years in the game-from a generation where the cypher was the most respected way to make a name for yourself and your crew.

There are very few dancers left who understand the essence of breakin’ at this level, making Evol a key judge for the Jam Masters cypher event. 🔥🔥
