That’s a wrap on the #AANA2026 Annual Congress in Boston! We had the best time learning, collaborating, and celebrating with other CRNAs, SRNAs, and RNs. Here are some highlights from the past few days ➡️ #CRNA #SRNA #NurseAnesthesia #Boston Megan Clancy, DNP, CRNA presented her study: Eliminating Intravenous Fluid During Colonoscopy Results in Statistically but Not Clinically Significant Hypotension This project was completed at BIDMC during the nationwide IV fluid shortage with the support of Dr. Liana Zucco, MBBS. As faculty for the Boston College Nurse Anesthesia Program, Megan completed this project with recent BC graduates, Melissa Rogers, DNP, CRNA, Jacquelyn Bentley, DNP, CRNA, and Yan Liu, DNP, CRNA (not pictured). There’s nothing better than puppy therapy! 🐶 Sarah Hayden, DNP, CRNA and her teammates won the AANA Hackathon for medical innovation for their proposal to minimize wasted medical gas through a novel oxygen delivery system. Batter up! ⚾️ Northeastern senior SRNA Janice Tso presented her DNP project with her mentor Janet Dewan, PhD, MS, CRNA: Objective Measurement of Endotracheal Tube Cuff Pressures Improves Patient Outcomes: Expert-Reviewed Practice Considerations We were so proud to welcome 4,500+ attendees to Boston, the birthplace of modern anesthesia! Nate Camillo, CRNA, Founding Member & Operations Chair of the Filipino American Nurse Anesthesiology Society (FANAS) with other members. Their karaoke fundraiser raised over $11,000 that will help fund future medical and surgical missions in the Philippines!  CRNAs Bettina, Sarah, Alfredo, and Emily enjoyed exploring the exhibit hall. Home to the puppy dugout of course 🐕 And with that, another Annual Congress comes to an end. We can’t wait to see you next year in New Orleans! ⚜️

This one is for the parents whose little ones learn differently. The moms at a loss for words when their kid asks, “Why do I have to work so much harder than my friends?” The dads who want their grade schooler to find success, and do it with their spirit still intact. The parents giving a double dose of support to shepherd their kid through, be it first grade — or fifth grade, or freshman year And for those who spend more than their fair share of time seeking teachers and tutors who can see their child’s potential and unique brand of magic the way they do. ✨ This is for you because we were those parents and my girl Rosie was that student. And she did get through school, then college, and as of last weekend, graduate school in nursing at a top university with straight A’s and a heart the size of the moon. ✨ Keep the faith, people. ✨ And so much gratitude to all the family, friends, teachers, and mentors who supported her along the way. And to Rosie who did the hard work and (almost) never lost faith.
