Getting a look inside Bobcat Game Day with Ben Cameron and Mark Mederson taught Texas State SJMC student Ryan Summers a lot about the behind the scenes of sports broadcasting. Part of MC week at Texas State University, I got a look into what goes on at bobcat game day ahead of Texas State Football’s first home PAC 12 game against Colorado State on Thursday the 15th of October. The show was headed by Mark Mederson, a lecturer at Texas State and Ben Cameron, a student at Texas State working with KTSW. It was extremely interesting to learn how the analysts run their show. When they cut to commercials, how they build up to the main point. Most importantly the order the show is run in is what interested me most, when ceartain people talk and how the teleprompter is used. It was intriguing how there could be no room for error. #txstmcweek @txstsjmc
