The project at 387 Haywood Road has received a Griffin Award for Adaptive Reuse. This category awards the creativity necessary to imagine new uses for historic buildings. Adaptive reuse is one of our most important preservation tools, and as our community continues to grow and change it is an exciting way to reimagine our built environment.

Congratulations to the project team for embracing the historic architecture of West Asheville and giving it a new future!

There is a certain magic in how a home integrates with a Western North Carolina hillside ✨

For this project, we wanted to highlight the perfect balance between modern lines and mountain functionality.

One of our favorite features is the multi-level screened-in porch system, which allows for year-round enjoyment of the mountain air and scenery.

Every detail, from the sleek entryway to the material choices, was selected to create a home that is as durable as it is beautiful.
