Thousands of faculty & schoolmates. And more than a million moments. ๐ˆ ๐š๐ฆ ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ž. Worn out but still intact. ๐–๐ž ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ž: The class of 2023. Done and dusted, in radiant light. ๐˜๐จ๐ฎ ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ž. Spectating as we enter the next chapter of our voyage. We inevitably lived 2 C the dawn, inspired by the one in the mirror who didn't settle for silence, didn't drown in tears, and said (almost) every single word, even if they thought it would hurt. The past couple of years were like a TV drama. Not only did the COVID pandemic limit us, but my twin Chris and I found ourselves finishing high school in unfamiliar territory. Even before all that, life established itself as a frenemy (a friend & an enemy) in various forms. But I believe without all those barriers and obstacles standing tall, clashing with all the good things, we wouldn't be where we are and who we are today. Every interaction, every lesson, every output, every embarrassment, every stressful moment, every "no", every "yes", every day, every supporting touch & beyond. Without these moments in the woods, our given 525,000,600 minutes every year would be measured in nothing. No shot would be taken. No dream would be had. We would have no story to tell. And the latter is the most essential. To be honored, you must honor yourself. To be praised, you must praise yourself. And to continue your story, you must keep going. Seeing our batchmates' grad posts have noted to me that we're all the same. We have all tried, succeeded, failed, given up, pushed through, and pushed out. We were all in this together, despite not actually being united. However, just like a speech, we are a voice for the last, the least, and the lost.
