Had a class time at NYC Eurasia in Madrid, over 300 young people from all over Europe and Asia, old friends and new. From learning greetings in Arabic to singing Rattlin’ Bog at 2am to serving in the snack shack and the music team, somewhere in that collage and mosaic of people was a snapshot of the Kingdom of God, where everyone is welcome at the table regardless of language or country or background

NYC 2026❤️ What an amazing week! Together with more than 300 people from more than 40 countries praising God. It felt so incredible to experience that we are a part of something (a church) so big. I've truly enjoyed meeting all of you and learning about all the different cultures that were present. I've made some great friendships and can't wait to see those friends again, wherever in the world that may be.✨️🩷
Don't forget that everyone is invited to the table of Jesus, and don’t forget to invite someone else ☺️

4 years ago in a damp scouts centre in Paisley I met a girl who would end up becoming one of my best friends. Last week I got the honour to stand beside her as she married another one of my best friends. Nick and Lucy you will always be two of my favourite people and I can’t wait for this new season of life for the two of you 💛

From the first time I met Jordan on Christmas Eve in Perth, I had a sense that this friendship would be meaningful. Over the past seven months, we’ve walked together through studies, shared meals, wrestled with questions, and encouraged one another in our callings.

Now, as Jordan leaves to begin a new chapter. I’m both sad to see him go and deeply excited for what lies ahead. Jordan’s heart for young people and for the church is real, and I’m excited for the next generation who will hear the gospel through his words and watch it lived out in his life.

Ecclesiastes 4:9 reminds us, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labour.” This verse speaks directly to what I’ve experienced in our friendship: that toil is declared fruitful not when it’s done in isolation or competition, but in companionship and cooperation. When we walk together in faith, the work becomes more meaningful not only because it’s shared, but because God does something deeper in us through the presence of another.

One commentary then goes on to say: “A man without friends is like a left hand without a right.” I’ve felt that truth in knowing Jordan, I had a someone who understood, challenged, and stood beside me in the rhythms of everyday life. Our friendship wasn’t just comfort, it was formation. It reminded me that Christian life isn’t meant to be a solo journey. We are meant to grow through one another.

Continuing onto Verse 10 “for if either of them falls down, one can help the other up” and there certainly were moments of that happening where Jordan’s encouragement when I fell helped me grow into a better person.

As Jordan steps forward into this new calling, I carry with me deep gratitude for what we shared. For what God taught us. And for the truth that while physically separated, the fruit of friendship endures.
