This is the real show - Grand Ole Opry Square Dancers! It’s soon to be Turkey-time again, so here’s a tip of the hat to the old bird herself! @bclyde72 has been behaving himself since I started collecting video evidence. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has led to a rehabilitated @bclyde72, and for that we all say “Hurrah!” @you_re_so_fain @thefiddlechic @marciacampbell

I dressed up as a Square Dancer, much to the shock/horror of our gifted hillbilly ballerinas! Special thanks to @caileenace @nicoleajudd (Wardrobe by @marciacampbell), @bclyde72 @thefiddlechic @mike.terry.8156. Based on an original concept by “A Young Poet”. #Fiddle #opry #nashville #country #americana #britfiddle

To dance is to be joyful! 💃🕺
We had such a fun time teaching Square Dance today at the Country Music Hall of Fame!
We made new friends from Texas, California, New York, Indiana, Alabama — and even from the Netherlands and Israel! 🌎✨
Bubba and I taught 129 students in just two hours! 🎶👏
Enjoy our class photos and tag yourself — video coming soon!
Thank you all for joining the fun and sharing your smiles today.
Big love,
Marcia & Bubba ❤️

There was I, playing Ol’ Joe Clark for 4,000 people at the Grand Ole Opry…the tempo was cooking, the band behind me was grooving like a vintage train, my bow was dancing magically on the strings, my left hand was finding all the meanest of blue notes - I was on course for perhaps my finest ever Square Dance! All I had left to do was to play a good ending… When, off to my right side, my nemesis @bclyde72 came slithering towards me like a hillbilly snake. The last thing I saw was a mischievous grin on his face before he crashed into my bow arm and knocked me off the mic, him cackling in my ear as I tried in vain to recover. My Square Dance dreams lay in tatters on the floor, just like the Saturday before. He must be stopped. #grandoleopry #nashville #fiddle #britfiddle 🎥@gracesykes

All week long, I look forward to Opry dancing every Saturday night!
I’m already looking forward to next Saturday night.😉
Mama called me on my way home telling me all about her listening to the Opry. ❤️ she heard our tap shoes over the airwaves.
You’re invited to the show that made country music famous as we highlight country music’s past, present and future — 100 years and we’re just getting started.

Saturday nights at The Opry are the best when the music is diverse and my challenges are many! Here’s a little sample of 1) Square Dance (@bclyde72 not pictured strangling me with my own tie), (2)two violin String arrangement I transcribed for @shootoutsmusic, (3) playing Mandolin with the amazing Scott Vestal, @eddie.sanders.bluegrass and Billy Ray Cyrus!!! #fiddle #brit #country #nashville
