We sat down with visual artist and maker Laura Noble Wohlgemut to chat about art, her creative process, and her journey to the HCA Gallery!

Laura’s stunning exhibition runs for one more week — you don’t want to miss it.

Much love to @bcreativewithin and to those who joined the crystal bowl and art workshop this weekend to amplify love and harmony within 💗🙏🏻

It’s always a fun time with Laura from @bcreativewithin 🥳😊 We let out our inner child and enjoyed playing with pastels and other fun mediums!

Grateful to share art that opens the heart 💗🙏🏻

Last year today, Castlepoint Numa provided space at The Woolverton for artists to showcase and create during the pandemic. Laura Wohlgemut from @BCreativeWithin was one of the two artists who were given residence in the form of a studio.

Wohlgemut's artistic residency gave her time to explore various techniques, including photo transfers onto canvas, acrylic skin making, and experimenting with various colours and paint application tools. This is how she settled on a style she calls "intuitive abstract painting." It's a combination of various techniques she used as an art therapist to achieve a form of art that she said helps her push past her own preconceived notions and boundaries of what art can be.
