Accessible bungalow in Derbyshire! ⛰️🌿 We recently stayed at Havendale and had the most amazing time! It literally felt like a home from home, was super accessible and had such high quality finishes throughout.

I’ve popped below just a few of the reasons why it’s so fantastically tailored for disabled people;

* Manual hoist
* Shower chair on wheels
* Toilet seat raiser
* Thermostatically controlled showers
* Nonslip tiles in all bathrooms
* Wet room with grab rails
* Closomat wash/dry toilet
* Hairdryer available
* Bed and chair raiser/blocks
* Smart television in lounge and 2 bedrooms
* Large display alarm clock
* Accessible kitchen appliances
* Good visual contrast
* Large print information
* Sensory lighting/equipment
* Dementia friendly signage available for use
* G-Plan electric reclining sofa and chair
* Hearing loop

Would you like to stay here?! Let me know in the comments 👏

Where do we begin to say ‘Thank you’ to @bdaa_fishing for all you have done for us over the years?! Here are some pics from our summer outing. A small glimpse of how fabulous you are. We appreciate you. Even if our only catch on the day was the retrieval of a boot and your cap. 🎣 🥾🧢 Have a great winter break and a Merry Christmas from everyone at SHASBAH. 🎄🎁💝🦊

Took lots of great pics of our members but wanted to dedicate this first post to the people who make it possible. The wonderful @bdaa_fishing You rock and these are your people. They are superb. As a bonus we captured the camera-shy Geoff. Look at those pearly whites though! (Get it framed already).

We had the greatest of days thanks to you all. Troy, Catherine, Abbie, Richard, Phil, Mark, Andy, Steve, and all the crew.

Big love and ‘cheers’ from Nina and everyone at SHASBAH.

Today I enjoyed an excellent days fly fishing at Ladybower reservoir courtesy of Troy at the British Disabled Angling Association. Working with delicate flies and lines isn’t easy with my stumpy fingers, but we worked together well and I can’t to join him again. The bdaa work with lots of disabled people and can cater for anyone, so if you’d like to know more, why not drop them a line…
