POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I’ve put off sharing this because if you don’t post it, it’s not real... right? But I guess it’s time to rip off the bandaid.

In August, I found out my cancer is back, and it has spread to the pleura around my left lung. Metastatic triple negative breast cancer. Stage 4. Incurable, but treatable.

When I was first diagnosed in early 2025, I shared my journey hoping to make cancer a little less scary for others and show that life doesn’t stop during treatment. I thought I’d get through a couple of hard years and eventually find my way back to normal.

This time feels different. I’m sad, frustrated, and not always feeling particularly inspirational. But I’m learning that sharing my story doesn’t always have to mean finding the silver lining. There’s value in sharing the hard parts, too.

I’ll still share updates here and there, but they may look a little different this time around. There will still be humor, good days, and plenty of normal life mixed in with the hard stuff. I’m just giving myself permission to not always put a positive spin on things.

In the meantime, I’m back on chemotherapy, which means it’s time to dig my wigs out of storage. Apparently, they’re making a comeback whether I like it or not.

As always, BTHO Cancer!
