We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for the 1st Annual Michael Almedina Memorial Run & Scholarship Fundraiser 5K. This NYC shakeout run and walk brought our running community together ahead of the 2026 Marine Corps Marathon while honoring the life, legacy, and memory of our brother and friend, Michael Almedina.
What made this day so special was not only the miles we shared, but the love, support, and community that brought it all to life.

A special thank you to Stacey and the incredible team at @bdcstudios for hosting us, providing exceptional service, and treating us to an amazing menu. Thank you to @mujeresinmotion for supporting our cause and standing alongside us in honoring Michael’s legacy.

To @artbyJose and @thelandlords thank you for capturing these unforgettable moments, bringing the energy, and helping me curate this entire event with so much thought, creativity, and attention to detail. Your contributions helped bring the vision to life in ways I’m truly grateful for.

To my friends who showed up, rolled up their sleeves, and helped turn this vision into a reality: thank you from the bottom of my heart. They say it takes a village, and I’m beyond grateful for the village I have.
To @divinayo , thank you for leading our walking group. To @yoo__ad and @artbyjose thank you for leading our runners and helping ensure everyone made it through the route safely. To @annmelvargas and @rowdy.rebe thank you for making sure no one was left behind. And to @rubia238__ and @lilerrrzzz thank you for holding it down with all of our in house needs and registration. Every role mattered, every helping hand made a difference, and this day would not have been the same without you.

To @doubledeemaria and @mbk_631 thank you for being my rocks, my constant support, and the kind of friends I will always hold close. I’m so grateful to have you in my corner.
And to everyone who continues to reach out asking how they can contribute, there is still time to donate! Please scan the QR code on the final slide to support the Michael Almedina Scholarship Fund. Every contribution helps us continue honoring Michael’s legacy in a meaningful way.

💜 THE MAGIC IS IN THE DETAILS. THE POWER IS IN THE COMMUNITY. ✨

Bringing Her Voice, Her Power to life takes more than a vision. It takes passionate creatives, generous small businesses, and people who believe in what we’re building.

We’re beyond grateful for the incredible small businesses helping us make this year’s experience extra special! 🦋

When God says, honor Me first and celebrate later. We said yes to forever in an intimate moment with Him at the center, and we can’t wait to celebrate with family & friends next year! See you in 2027!

Abuse isn’t always visible. Her Voice, Her Power is creating the space to talk about what often goes unspoken; from emotional abuse and control to cultural expectations, trauma, prevention, and meaningful allyship.

And this year, we’re making it an experience. 💜

✨ Empowerment panel
🌿 Wellness + self-regulation + breathwork
🤍 Meaningful community connection
🎁 Curated goodie bags
🍵Matcha bar and light refreshments
🎟️ A fun raffle being announced very soon 👀

The goal? Awareness. Education. Connection. Prevention. Impact.

Because one conversation can change how we recognize abuse, support survivors, and show up for one another. We need these spaces now more than ever.

This is one you don’t want to miss. Open to ALL WOMEN craving an uplifting and empowering community.
