Before Courtney Barnett, there were the Live Girls!!!, a band I really adored. I shot this video for them a long long time ago in Brooklyn and Ashley recently found it…. “You’re hangin with a tough crowd. You’re giving me the run around!”

Since marrying her ‘best friend’, @brooklynpeltzbeckham, in a fairytale Florida wedding this spring, life has been a whirlwind for Tatler’s August cover star, @nicolaannepeltzbeckham. ‘I haven’t stopped for one second,’ she tells @elleaustin_. ‘I had my wedding, then I wrapped filming on a show, then I came here to New York for the Met Gala.’ How does she stay sane amid all the excitement? ‘Our happy place is staying in, watching a show and being with our dogs. We’re like an old married couple.’ Click the link in bio for the full interview – and don’t miss the August issue, on sale 30 June. Photographed by @ellenvonunwerth and styled by @sophiepera.

@nicolaannepeltzbeckham – Tatler's sensational August cover star – has had quite the career trajectory. Since making her big-screen debut aged just 11, the actress (now forging a path as a writer and director, too) has turned her hand to a wide-ranging spread of projects: from action blockbusters like 'Transformers: Age of Extinction', to heartwarming indie films and chilling horror flicks. Click the link in bio to revisit her acting highlights to date – and don't miss Tatler's August issue, on sale 30 June. Photographed by @ellenvonunwerth and styled by @sophiepera.

🍾 🥂 TODAY in your Times Magazine: Inside the lurid world of bottle service clubs and the promoters who supply ‘girls’ (read: models under 30, often teenagers) to the parties and places where VIP men mix business with pleasure. Isn’t this the thin end of a wedge that ends with #JeffreyEpstein, I ask Ashley Mears (pictured) the brilliant model-turned-sociologist who infiltrated the scene for her compelling new book - the most colourful investigation of nightlife and gender politics since Gloria Steinem went undercover as a Playboy Bunny in 1963. Reading ‘Very Important People: Status and Beauty in the Global Party Circuit’ it did not come as a huge shock to learn that the current president of the USA met his First Lady in September 1998 during a Fashion Week party thrown by their mutual acquaintance Paolo Zampolli in the Kit Kat Club, a prototypical bottle service club whose ‘unsavoury reputation’ was alluded to in a New York Times article announcing its closure in April 2000. Zampolli, as well as being the owner of Melania Knav’s modelling agency at the time, was (writes Mears) ‘a man known for bringing together models and economically powerful men at exclusive parties.’ These days he’s an ambassador for Dominica at the UN. Hooray! Link in bio 🔝
