Dolly Day feels like a pretty good day to remember that you are enough. 💛

My 513 Birthday show was magical. ✨🎶🛸🧩

Surrounded by instruments and and a room full of friends who walked through a little candle lit🕯️ tunnel to find a house show on the other side. 🚪🪄Amazing food and libations.

Here is a clip of Reminders - live at The Boiler Room
🛸🎶 the Taken🛸🎶

Some things take a long time to understand.
Some things you have to lose before you can hear yourself again.

And maybe the reminder is just this:

YOU are enough.

Even when you’re starting over.
Even when you’re still figuring it out.
Even when the story didn’t turn out the way you thought it would.
Be kind to yourself
Progress over perfection
Listen to your intuition

Thank you, 513 friends, for giving me a birthday I’ll remember.🧩💛🚪🎶🔷

And thank you, @dollyparton , for reminding us to love and believe in ourselves first and foremost. 💛👑🕯️

HM Magazine #144 (July/August 2010) For Today Cover | Cornerstone Festival Issue

Sometimes the best collectibles are the ones that capture an entire scene at a single moment in time. This issue of HM Magazine does exactly that, spotlighting For Today as they were becoming one of the defining voices in Christian metalcore while documenting the final years of the legendary Cornerstone Festival.

Inside you’ll find features on For Today, The Showdown, Disciple, A Plea for Purging, House of Heroes, Anberlin, Comeback Kid, Corpus Christi, The Afters, 3OH!3, along with a Children 18:3 poster and Cornerstone Festival recap.

Collector Highlights

• For Today cover story from the band’s breakthrough era.

Okay. Okay. After literally everyone asking us to part with our collection of @hmmagazine collectibles, we decided it’s time. It’s first come first served, and I can’t talk the boss into parting with any of his duplicates so this is all you get. Starting with the first one:

HM Magazine #138: August Burns Red × Scream the Prayer Double Flip Collector’s Issue (July/August 2009)

Sometimes you don’t realize you’re holding a piece of music history until you stop and look at what’s in front of you. This issue of HM Magazine captures one of the defining moments of the Christian metalcore movement, documenting the legendary 2009 Scream the Prayer Tour during the genre’s peak.

What makes this issue especially collectible is its rare double-flip format, featuring two front covers:

• August Burns Red
• Haste the Day / Scream the Prayer Tour

Inside you’ll find features on August Burns Red, Emery, He Is Legend, Project 86, The Crucified, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, Sleeping Giant, Gwen Stacy, The Chariot, A Plea for Purging, Corpus Christi, For Today, Agraceful, Mae, Mainline Riders, and Stryper, with the original Flyleaf poster still attached.

Collector Highlights

• Rare double-flip edition with two collectible covers.

• Documents the complete 2009 Scream the Prayer Tour, one of the most influential Christian metalcore tours of the era.

• Features an all-star lineup of bands that helped define late-2000s Christian heavy music.

Usually I’m writing emotional indie pop songs with Shannon Garcia and the Taken…
but sometimes you just need to bang on the drums for awhile. ROCK!🎸 🥁🤘

Any musican friends have days like this?

10 years?! This music baby is 10 years old?! When I think back on this time, I can’t help but smile. Recording this EP in studios and home studios, making a music video in a special season, the practices that sometimes turned into snowball fights screaming Little Einsteins. This season was truly one of my favorites. The shows, from The Drinkery (with our first encore) to Fountain Square with Judah and the Lion. All of that to be said, nothing beats the practice/hangs after. Before we were a band, we were a family. We saw love, heartbreak, a baby and so much more in between. The love we all had for one another, I can say in this season was all I had. I’d give anything to relive this season, even if I knew the end would be the same. Happy Birthday Music Baby! Your songs are just as important today as they were back then ❤️
