Out here chasing bluefin, but my heart’s always back home.

These little notes from my kids hit me right in the soul. My wife and kids make sure I leave the dock with a full stomach and a full heart. And every time I open my lunch and see these messages… I’m reminded exactly why I grind the way I do.

Fathers, men, (and my super moms/ women) can you relate? We carry a quiet weight sometimes. We push through long days, early mornings, and missed moments… not for ourselves, but to give our families the very best we can. It’s never just about the job; it’s about love, responsibility, and legacy.

Truth is, I think about them more than I let on. These little reminders bring it all back into focus.

A few more months of pushing hard… then I’m shutting it down to be home, present, and all theirs. That’s the real prize at the end of the season.

Well another trip down south in the books. Not a wide open bite but a fun one for sure with some good friends. We caught some dorado and a few other species but I was really looking forward to bringing home some Blue Fin Tuna to make fresh sushi 🍣 with the @outdoorcheflife kelp chili crisp!!!! Can wait to try that out. Thanks to the crew of the @sauerfishcharters for taking good care of us and being awesome 🤙.
