Halloween Horror Nights 2026. Last time we hit #HHN was a few years ago but this year's lineup of mazes was an absolute must-see...and they didn't disappoint. HELLRAISER is easily this year's winner (you enter through a massive Lament Configuration to Christopher Young's main theme for HELLRAISER II) with KILLER KLOWNS a close second. SINNERS and EVIL DEAD RISE mazes were a blast too, and the Ozzy maze was the big surprise of the night.

Early access is the way to go as we got to hit just about everything we wanted before the wait times got out of hand...which is good because we just had to do HELLRAISER a second time.

The second weekend is always better than the first!! Got to experience many thrills at Six Flags with my buddies Angel and Mike on Friday, did a wild and mind bending triple feature with the likes of John Travolta, James Cameron (who showed up in person for Aliens in 70mm) and the most controversial movie of all time on Saturday, and today with the most epic space movie of 2026 with Christopher Miller and Phil Lord showing for a Q&A.
And now, ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seat belts for Green Day mania coming in the not too distant future...

David Fincher might be my favorite director working today and tonight I was lucky enough to hear him speak with another master of the craft. Hearing Bong Joon Ho's words of admiration for Fincher's work made for one of the best Q&As I've seen out here in LA. Also, Zodiac (2007) is undeniably the high point of Fincher's career to date and deserves to be seen (and revisited) whenever possible and always on the big screen. Thank you to the good folks at @academymuseum for making this and other screenings possible.

Humbled, honored, and thrilled to share that my movie podcast “The AndyPlex” made #14 of “40 Best Californian Art Podcasts to listen to in 2026” on Feedspot.com !!! I started this show in 2020 mere weeks before the pandemic lockdown and it has given me a vehicle to mine films for their meanings and lessons, but more importantly to share stories and collaborate with some supremely talented and wondrously creative people. This goes out to my cohosts! Can’t wait to expand the list! If you guys can follow my podcast page on IG (@theandyplexpodcast) - it would support the effort greatly! Stay curious my friends.
