The Uncanny States of Home: "(BE)LONGING/S 2.0" 🏚️🔨 Reporting from the London floor of Apartman! Can a former motorcycle repair shop turn into an uncanny exhibition space where we question the very concept of "home"? Opened at hARTslane Gallery as part of the London Design Festival (LDF), the "(BE)LONGING/S 2.0: Phosphate of Calcium" exhibition strips the home of its status as a safe haven. Ranging from hybrid ceramics and noise operas to textile panels and sculptural installations, this multidisciplinary selection offers a striking experience on belonging, displacement, and the fragility of materials. The details of this meaningful exhibition, which also supports a charity for the homeless, are live on our blog! 👤 Artists: Michaelancholia, Denise Laura Baker, Malgorzata Lisiecka, Corrie Georgala, Aleksandra Ishilla, BY MA Studio, Cell Deletion, Richa Vora 🖼️ Exhibition: (BE)LONGING/S 2.0: Phosphate of Calcium 📍 Venue: hARTslane Gallery (New Cross Gate), London 🗓️ Dates: September 12 & 14 – 20, 2026 ------------- Evin Tekinsiz Halleri: "(BE)LONGING/S 2.0" 🏚️🔨 Apartman'ın Londra katından bildiriyoruz! Eski bir motosiklet tamirhanesi, "ev" kavramını en baştan sorguladığımız tekinsiz bir sergi alanına dönüşebilir mi? Londra Tasarım Festivali (LDF) kapsamında hARTslane Gallery'de izleyiciyle buluşan "(BE)LONGING/S 2.0: Phosphate of Calcium" sergisi, evi korunaklı bir sığınak olmaktan çıkarıyor. 👤 Sanatçılar: Michaelancholia, Denise Laura Baker, Malgorzata Lisiecka, Corrie Georgala, Aleksandra Ishilla, BY MA Studio, Cell Deletion, Richa Vora 🖼️ Sergi: (BE)LONGING/S 2.0: Phosphate of Calcium 📍 Mekan: hARTslane Gallery (New Cross Gate), Londra 🗓️ Tarih: 12 & 14 – 20 Eylül 2026

✨ Memoryscapes, layers of memory, presence and transformation. I’m so happy to present this installation at Harts Lane Gallery, New Cross Gate, London, alongside an incredible group of artists. My painting Fusing was created in 2023. Since then, I’ve evolved both as a person and an artist. This installation brings together the past and present through translucent layers of textile — carrying memories while opening space for new possibilities. This work has inspired me to dream up new Memoryscapes for future projects. 🤍 The exhibition is open until 20th September. 📍 Harts Lane Gallery, New Cross Gate, London 🔗 Details via the link in my bio #Londondesignfestival #artshowslondon #contemporaryartlondon memoryscapes

Tonight!!!! Private View from 4- 8pm at @h.artslane Gallery, New Cross Gate. There will be free wine and lots of art. I’ll be sharing a small selection of work from the HS2 protest camps and construction sites made between 2020-2023. This is basically protest photography, presented in a fine art environment and sharing space with other artists exploring concepts of home and belonging, creating uncanny domestic environments that reflect on power constructs, women’s labour, and reminiscence. Big thanks to @jonathonvinesphotography and @stevesevilempire for assisting with the install. Brilliant to have other photographers input ❤️ The exhibition is a partner to @l_d_f_official @be_longing.s @corriegeorgalart @richcompose @malgorzata_lisiecka @armaghan90ftm @ishilla @deniselaurabakerart #multimediaexhibition #mixedmedia #londondesignfestival #photographyexhibition #installation

Everyone invited. I will be showing photographic work made around the HS2 camps between 2020 and 2023. I’m getting it on a wall by stealth, because it’s still a political hot potato and doesn’t quite fall into the ‘history’ bracket because there isn’t an ‘end’ to the story yet. This work focuses on nature and the environment as ‘home’ and a place to which we all belong. It explores the homes created in the trees as places of protection, both for the inhabiting humans and for the wildlife and ecosystem under threat. The work documents the camps, the people who made the woods their home in a bid to protect them from destruction, and what those areas looked like, a year after the injunction preventing further protest was served💚 Gallery opening times are:- Sunday 13th - Open 1-7:30pm Monday 14th -11am- 5:45pm. Tuesday 15th -11am-5:45pm. Wednesday 16th - 10:30am-1pm. Thursday 17th - 10:30am-1pm. Friday 18th - Open 11am-6:30pm. Saturday 19th - 11am-6:30pm. Sunday 20th - 11am-5pm. @hs2rebellion @_stop.hs2.photography_ @h.artslane @be_longing.s #protestphotography @deniselaurabakerart #documentaryphotography #multimedia #mixedmedia #installationart

Between the 12-20th September I’m excited to be participating in the @be_longing.s group multi-media exhibition at @h.artslane Gallery in New Cross along with seven other amazing artists. The exhibition is part of the London Design Festival and the theme focuses on concepts of home and belonging. Each artist answers this brief in different ways, unique to their own personal experiences. I will be showing a snippet of the three years of work I made documenting the HS2 protest camps combining photography with textiles, embroidery and installation exploring how nature becomes home, how we fight for and protect that home and ultimately mourn its loss when it is destroyed. It reflects on the power of the state versus those creating homes that don’t conform to their definition of the ‘norm’ and explores the ways those living transient lives or are defined as ‘homeless’ are prevented from creating or protecting their home. It ultimately illustrates how the environment and nature, which are so important to human health and wellbeing is discarded in pursuit of profit. @ishilla @michaelancholia @armaghan90ftm @corriegeorgalart @richcompose @malgorzata_lisiecka @deniselaurabaker #(BE)LONGING/S #multimediaart #exhibition #fineart #artcollective
