Proof of life from the past six months. —>

Fleeing to Canada with my love set the tone for the summer. I moved and now home feels like a dream come true, my own cozy corner where I can watch the sunset. I spend hours with Louie soaking up all the light. Color started coming back into my eyes. I started working in Wine again, and it’s felt like coming home. I helped save two little babies. 32 arrived, dripping in laughter and sunshine. It’s a privilege to grow old. The seasons changed, so did my hair. I learned to let the grief and the joy swallow me whole. I filled my notes with poetry and to do lists. I laughed till my cheeks hurt, I fought sleep for “just one more game!”, I cried the good tears that I completely forgot existed.

And for the first time in a long time, I feel like myself again.

January has been kind to me.

Life changes, and most of it for the better. You just have to remember to let it happen.
