Hello everyone, my name is Paikea rose , and I’m 13 years old.

I want to share how my music and creativity began to blossom…when I visited Yorenka Tasorensi Institute in the Brazilian rainforest 2 years ago

Yorenka tasorensi was founded by Benki Piyãko, an Asháninka Indigenous leader who dedicates his life to protecting the rainforest and sharing his ancestral wisdom with the world .

In Yorenka i have the opportunity to be part of something much bigger than myself. Through the work of Benki Piyãko and the community, we learn about the forest, sustainability, responsibility, and connection to nature.

Being there helped me discover my own voice. Through music, creativity,and Indigenous wisdom, I learned that I can carry these teachings into the world and help make it a more beautiful place.

Yorenka has touched my life in a way I will always carry with me. It helped shape who I am today, and I hope to share the love, joy, and inspiration I found there with everyone .

Last month, I sat down with @willcady , a former Reddit executive and author of “Which Way Is North,” for a live conversation in Los Angeles on The Morality of AI.

Our conversation moved through technology and consciousness, colonial legacies and relational futures, human agency, moral imagination, and what it means to become the ancestors our future needs.

We also explored the tensions between opposing sides of the AI conversation and how we might collectively steward this technology’s future.

Listening back to this conversation while editing the episode, I was struck by how much has unfolded in the AI landscape since we recorded it, and how timely this conversation feels.

I’m grateful to Will for meeting these questions with such thoughtfulness and depth, to @thekinn.co for giving us a home for this conversation, and to everyone who joined us in the room and helped make it a truly communal dialogue.

Happy birthday to the one and only @rudyranda 🎉

10 years ago God told me, “follow the Buddha,” and I was like… what? Then I turned to my left and there was Rudy with a Buddha tattoo on his shoulder 😂

Ever since then, it’s been an amazing rollercoaster filled with unforgettable memories. We laughed together, cried together, and somehow always found our way through every adventure — always to the top of the top 😇

One of the best memories was getting pulled over in India and somehow hypnotizing the cop into letting us go 😂

And then there was the prayer gathering in the courtyard of that hotel in Palm Springs. At the very last minute we had to find a new space, and somehow you managed to discover the absolute perfect spot in the middle of the desert for 100+ people to dream, pray, and sit under the stars together ✨

May the Creator always protect you, guide you, and bless you with everything your heart desires — and even more.
And one massive blessing you received lately is my soul sister, @ludovicarnz 😇 how about that!

In about 4 weeks, at the beginning of April, Paikea and I will be leaving for the rainforest again — returning to one of our favorite places on Earth. We would love for more people to join us if you feel the call to step away from the noise and chaos of the world and retreat into the rainforest, where you can deeply recharge and reconnect with nature.
We will be at the Yorenka Tasorentsi Institute with the Asháninka tribe. It is truly an honor and a blessing to spend time learning from them and from the wisdom of the forest.
There are two opportunities to come with us: • April 13 – April 25 • April 27 – May 10
During this time we will learn directly from the rainforest and the Asháninka people — remembering how to become strong warriors of the heart so we can return to our Western world and live in greater harmony with our lives, the Earth, and all living beings.

And in between, we play soccer, laugh, and share joy with children from all around.

This is where I’ve learned to find my voice, to sing, and to grow—just like the trees we plant.
We learn how to listen, how to care, and how to live in harmony with nature.

This is more than school.
It’s a place where children feel free, connected, and alive.
