Shoutout to FSM fam Jared Carter, who is making noise early in Mexico!

The 6’5” rookie combo guard is currently leading the LIDECH league in scoring, averaging a ridiculous 33 points per game since arriving to suit up for the Leñadores de Madera in Chihuahua. That kind of scoring output right out of the gate is no accident — it’s a continuation of exactly what he’s done at every level.

Jared closed out his college career at Beacon (‘25) by leading the entire nation (USCAA) in scoring, pairing that with an absurd shooting split of 55/49/91. He earned First Team All-Conference honors in the New South Atlantic Conference, and after graduating, he was selected to represent USCAA in the Copa Sul-Americana de Basquete in Brazil last summer.

A pure scorer who’s put the league on notice before his first full season is even done — and this is just the beginning for Jared.

I’m feeling immense gratitude and love from all of my friends and fellow classmates!! Tonight, I received the Beacon College Peer Leader Award after being nominated!

I was 1 out of 53 amazing students nominated for this award, students who have been at Beacon longer than me and have done so much for me. But they are the ones who have made my journey so much fun and have inspired me to enjoy life and do amazing things!

I got this award not only for the work I did in the classroom, but most importantly- the work I did out of the classroom and off campus! When I was fighting my demons and fighting to be the best version of myself, I remember telling myself: “Noah whatever you are going through, you’ll get out of it”!

After many years of ups and downs in education, life, and trying to get to where I am, I don’t take any of it for granted!

This isn’t an award- this is an example of when the going gets tough, you just keep coming back and back stronger and stronger! I come to school to learn and get stronger mentally and emotionally. In life, you have to take care of yourself!

Take care of yourself, before you give the world something!

Thank you, @beaconcollege for such an amazing blessing in my life and giving me the keys to open the door for success! The lessons, the opportunities, the ideas and more are the reasons why I love going to school!

Thank you Jesus for leading me through the fire and always telling me that I can do all things through You because You give me the strength! Thank you for forming me in your image and making plans to help me prosper! You are so good all day everyday!

Thank you to my mom, dad, sister, family and all of my friends professors and classmates who nominated me for this award. Your trust, your kindness, love and support means so much to me and I can’t wait to see all the things that will be coming in the future!!

Lastly- I want to thank myself … for believing in me, and defying the odds!! Autism is my superpower and Beacon is the sidekick to use to bring importance to something that means so much to me!
