I’ve been trying to write this caption for a while now but I’m terrible at articulating how I actually feel. It’s hard to find the right words for a project that means so much to you, but KOMOREBI holds such a special place in my heart and always will.

@beagodin_ trusting me to play Emrys was a privilege, I am so so grateful to you for allowing me to bring such a beautiful character to life and this film reminded me why I wanted to act in the first place.

To the incredible crew who put their heart into this film, you’ve made an experience I’ll never forget. To my cast mates @lucajalves @myaa_doyle who I was lucky enough to share this journey with, thank you for making every moment even more special, I’m so proud of you both. And to everyone who has supported the film so far, it means more than you know.

And to @euan.morriss mate what can I say your so talented, your song added a whole different layer to this film and I can’t think of anyone else I’d rather have had doing the soundtrack.

I’m unbelievably proud of what we’ve created together, and I can’t wait for more people to see KOMOREBI. 🧶💛

How we made Friendly Stranger

Euan brought this idea to me a few months ago that he’d started writing after being asked to make a song for the final scene of @beagodinfilms short film Komorebi. I thought it would be cool to film the session and put this together to show how we brought it to life.

It’s one of my favourite songs that I’ve worked on so far and was great to have Bea and @lucajalves - one of the actors from the film, in the studio to help guide us to create the right feeling in the music to fit with the film.

Hope you enjoy and go listen
Friendly Stranger by @euan.morriss out now

‘Komorebi’ 🌳
Now that this beautiful little film is out in the world and due to start it’s festival run. I wanted to take some time to write a few words about this project.

A film I am so beyond proud to have been apart of, working alongside some wonderful people.
@beagodinfilms I feel so honoured to have been able to bring Olly to life, a very personal character to me, whom I will take forward with me in my career. Thank you for trusting in me and being so generous and patient.

So many laughs, tears and smiles, it was all worth every bit in the end. What was many months in the work, in the three days it took to film, I think something really beautiful came out of the other end.

To have worked alongside 2 people very close to me in the brilliant @_benworsley and @myaa_doyle that I attended drama school with was an absolute pleasure and I am so grateful to you both.
And then to have another of my best friends write the most incredible piece of music for the film. @euan.morriss you are a star mate ⭐!

And to all the lovely people who made this project possible, all the wonderful crew and everyone who came out to support Komorebi’s premier at @raindancefilmfestival . THANKYOU

I can’t wait for you all to see this film 🤍
