Architecture BSc #Unit9 #UG9 Year 2 • “Algal Blooming”by Ellie McKnight @mckn1ghtt @elliesarchive_ Term 1 (Oct-Dec 2025) - #LiveProject with (client) BEAM Camp ⛺️ in (site) New Hampshire, USA 🇺🇸 in collaboration with Masters student from @bartlett_dfpi Bartlett students will embark on a fully funded trip to work with campers ages 9-15 years olds to deliver the final structure on site in August 2026. 🧶 An algae-based bioplastic structure embedded into the land crafted using algae extracted from the nearby lake to aid in preventing eutrophication, a major issue in lakes globally which is being exacerbated by global warming. Using coded methodologies in crochet the structure incorporates various natural fertilisers and seeds, which aid in preparing the land for planting through seasons. The structure serves the land in improving soil health and rewilding the area, creating conditions to allow for future growth and prosperity. - Digital workshop by @a1exf0x Tutors: @mobilestudioarchitects @shedrawswithcode @jess__in - #BartlettSummerShow #LoveUCL @beamcenter @beamcamp @bartlettarchucl @thebartlettucl @bartlettarchbsc @bartlett.soc @bartlettkiosk @architecturedotstudio @ucl @uclalumni @critday @thearchitecturestudentblog @so.arch @next_top_architects @architonicag @architizer @superarchitects

Architecture BSc #Unit9 #UG9 Year 2 • “Beaver Camp”by Nana Osei Bonsu @nanaoseiwa Term 1 (Oct-Dec 2025) - #LiveProject with (client) BEAM Camp ⛺️ in (site) New Hampshire, USA 🇺🇸 in collaboration with Masters student from @bartlett_dfpi Bartlett students will embark on a fully funded trip to work with campers ages 9-15 years olds to deliver the final structure on site in August 2026. 🦫 Beaver camp is a safe haven for the North American Beaver. It harnesses the deconstructed loom to facilitate indirect interactions between human and beaver. The loom becomes a semi-permeable barrier that protects both beavers and humans. - Digital workshop by @a1exf0x Tutors: @mobilestudioarchitects @shedrawswithcode @jess__in - #BartlettSummerShow #LoveUCL @beamcenter @beamcamp @bartlettarchucl @thebartlettucl @bartlettarchbsc @bartlett.soc @bartlettkiosk @architecturedotstudio @ucl @uclalumni @critday @thearchitecturestudentblog @so.arch @next_top_architects @architonicag @architizer @superarchitects

Individually the sounds produce noise, but together, gaining rhythm from the air, unseen rhythms, sounds come together. - Digital workshop by @a1exf0x Tutors: @mobilestudioarchitects @shedrawswithcode @jess__in - #BartlettSummerShow #LoveUCL @beamcenter @beamcamp @bartlettarchucl @thebartlettucl @bartlettarchbsc @bartlett.soc @bartlettkiosk @architecturedotstudio @ucl @uclalumni @critday @thearchitecturestudentblog @so.arch @next_top_architects @architonicag @architizer @superarchitects

In turn, a collection of trees can converse with each other, with human interaction as the enactor; the player. This conversation amongst the trees is defined by the tuning of the instruments, the timing of the music and the directionality of the acoustic body. - Digital workshop by @a1exf0x Tutors: @mobilestudioarchitects @shedrawswithcode @jess__in - #BartlettSummerShow #LoveUCL @beamcenter @beamcamp @bartlettarchucl @thebartlettucl @bartlettarchbsc @bartlett.soc @bartlettkiosk @architecturedotstudio @ucl @uclalumni @critday @thearchitecturestudentblog @so.arch @next_top_architects @architonicag @architizer @superarchitects

Architecture BSc #Unit9 #UG9 Year 2 • “Land. Dance. Renewal”by Nicole Kechiyan @golodnyy_kron__ Term 1 (Oct-Dec 2025) - #LiveProject with (client) BEAM Camp ⛺️ in (site) New Hampshire, USA 🇺🇸 in collaboration with Masters student from @bartlett_dfpi Bartlett students will embark on a fully funded trip to work with campers ages 9-15 years olds to deliver the final structure on site in August 2026. 🪁 A series of kinetic dancing structures activated through pulley-systems each connected between two trees, each inspired by the movements of Native American fancy dancers and tells a specific story of Abenaki tribe through beading and fabrics. Through constant activation, the structures propose dance as an act of land reclamation, not through ownership, but through renewal. Movement becomes a way to acknowledge the land as living and remembering the past. - Digital workshop by @a1exf0x Tutors: @mobilestudioarchitects @shedrawswithcode @jess__in - #BartlettSummerShow #LoveUCL @beamcenter @beamcamp @bartlettarchucl @thebartlettucl @bartlettarchbsc @bartlett.soc @bartlettkiosk @architecturedotstudio @ucl @uclalumni @critday @thearchitecturestudentblog @so.arch @next_top_architects @architonicag @architizer @superarchitects

Architecture BSc #Unit9 #UG9 Year 2 • “Whispering Wells”by Qing Chen @qi.n.g Term 1 (Oct-Dec 2025) - #LiveProject with (client) BEAM Camp ⛺️ in (site) New Hampshire, USA 🇺🇸 in collaboration with Masters student from @bartlett_dfpi Bartlett students will embark on a fully funded trip to work with campers ages 9-15 years olds to deliver the final structure on site in August 2026. 🏺The ground plane is transformed into a playground of sounds. Its surfaces reflect, deflect and mirror sounds from the site across the whispering well. Over time the landscape can be deconstructed through moisture and reshaped. Inspired by the sound mirrors developed in World War I, the project looks further into manipulating found sound in the environment by directly digging into the ground and making the ground plane the sound mirror. - Digital workshop by @a1exf0x Tutors: @mobilestudioarchitects @shedrawswithcode @jess__in - #BartlettSummerShow #LoveUCL @beamcenter @beamcamp @bartlettarchucl @thebartlettucl @bartlettarchbsc @bartlett.soc @bartlettkiosk @architecturedotstudio @ucl @uclalumni @critday @thearchitecturestudentblog @so.arch @next_top_architects @architonicag @architizer @superarchitects

Architecture BSc #Unit9 #UG9 Year 3 • “Architecture That Isn’t”by Warutch (Pun) Ingwattanapoka @warutch.i @warutch_i Term 1 (Oct-Dec 2025) - #LiveProject with (client) BEAM Camp ⛺️ in (site) New Hampshire, USA 🇺🇸 in collaboration with Masters student from @bartlett_dfpi Bartlett students will embark on a fully funded trip to work with campers ages 9-15 years olds to deliver the final structure on site in August 2026. A fog-based recreation of the Zimmerman House by Frank Lloyd Wright in New Hampshire suspended within the forest. Instead of relying on solid structure to define space, the pavilion uses controlled mist to create temporary walls, rooflines and openings that shift with changing weather conditions. The entire system is lifted into the tree canopy so nothing touches the ground, allowing the fog to appear as though it emerges naturally from the landscape. The aim is to create an architecture that works with atmospheric forces rather than resisting them, using immateriality as a tool to frame views, guide movement and create moments of spatial clarity or disorientation. The pavilion acts as a lightweight presence in the forest, revealing a built experience without relying on conventional material mass. - Digital workshop by @a1exf0x Tutors: @mobilestudioarchitects @shedrawswithcode @jess__in - #BartlettSummerShow #LoveUCL @beamcenter @beamcamp @bartlettarchucl @thebartlettucl @bartlettarchbsc @bartlett.soc @bartlettkiosk @architecturedotstudio @ucl @uclalumni @critday @thearchitecturestudentblog @so.arch @next_top_architects @architonicag @architizer @superarchitects

A series of floating metronome capturing underwater activities (fish) which in turn creates visuals and movements above water inspired by plant dynamics - like floating plants on the lake. Plants was chosen as a method of representation due to its ability to react to its surroundings, whether its shying away when touched, or creating an internal rhythm based on the local weather conditions. - Digital workshop by @a1exf0x Tutors: @mobilestudioarchitects @shedrawswithcode @jess__in - #BartlettSummerShow #LoveUCL @beamcenter @beamcamp @bartlettarchucl @thebartlettucl @bartlettarchbsc @bartlett.soc @bartlettkiosk @architecturedotstudio @ucl @uclalumni @critday @thearchitecturestudentblog @so.arch @next_top_architects @architonicag @architizer @superarchitects
