We found out that the legal limit for chlorine in tap water is higher than a swimming pool! 😳🏊‍♂️

Here is one of the UK’s only water sommeliers to run you through it 🚰

Yesterday I headed to the @cheshirelifemag Leading Ladies Lunch — such a well-put-together event, with just the right number of people and time to actually have proper conversations.

Coast Restaurant did a fantastic job, and it was great to catch up with @suzholder15 @beardedwatersommelier Doran The Water Man, and hear @dresscheshire_ Christine Colbert share her story — including turning 60 and deciding her next chapter should involve herding cattle! 😂🐄

Great to meet Tracey, Lisa, Jo and Destiny too — sorry I didn’t manage to get around everyone!

And a slightly surreal moment seeing my own mug shot in the October edition of Cheshire Life. 😂 A little feature about me, SNAP Life, why I started it and what we’re building.

Don’t all rush out at once to buy your copy… 😂

Another nice little moment in this unexpected journey. 💙🧡

WHAT IF YOU COULD TASTE WHERE WATER COMES FROM?

We sat down with Valérie Henbest on Sensing Up aka @smellycheeseco @good_cheese_week to talk about Carribie — and why we believe water deserves a place in the conversation about terroir, gastronomy and the table.Because Carribie isn’t simply water. It comes from one place, a very special place.

Our family estate on the southern tip of South Australia’s @yorkepeninsula where water moves through ancient marine sands and limestone before reaching the protected aquifer beneath our land.

That journey creates its mineral character.Minerality. Structure. Texture. Balance. Length. The same language we use when we talk about great food & wine.

And perhaps that’s the most interesting thing about water. The best water doesn’t need to be made.
It needs to be discovered.

Now being poured at some of Australia’s most exceptional restaurants, wineries, luxury destinations, fine wine retail, wellness studios and providores.

Listen to the full conversation with Damien Smith & Valérie Henbest — link in bio.

Water has terroir. Are you tasting it?

Recently, our good friend @dan_naylor7 recommended we get in touch with the @beardedwatersommelier after hearing about his struggle to find footwear that actually worked with his super wide, naturally shaped feet 👣

We were more than happy to make him up a custom pair of wildsoles. Just one maker supporting another local legend. We genuinely expected nothing in return.

Then today, a delivery arrived that completely blew us away…

24 cans of the absolute finest spring water from Crag Spring Water, proudly sourced and made by Doran right here in the Peak District. 💧

And then we spotted the words on the cans… Believe in yourself 💫

A tagline we could quite easily have used for wildsoles. We love it.

We also have huge respect for the cans paying tribute to the last wild boar of the Peak District 💫🙌

This is exactly why we love what we do.

Local makers. Small businesses with the same wild ethos. Community. People swapping the fruits of their labour and supporting each other simply because they believe in what the other person is doing.

Go check out @cragspringwater and taste a little bit of what the Peak District has to offer 🙏

World 🌍 Of Water 💧

@cragspringwater from the U.K 🇬🇧 is a source of exceptionally high-quality still or sparkling spring water, which having filtered through layers of sand and rock for centuries, is rich in trace minerals resulting in some of the silkiest, creamiest water ever to be tasted.

Changing the toilet roll he can not do but making childhood memories he can. Every single night they do this and they find it funnier and funnier every night ♥️#daddy #childhoodmemories #bedtimeroutineforkids

Sparkling or still? 🧐
Why limit our friends, family members, associates, or clientele to one or the other? Maybe we want effervescent water before and still water between courses. Seems a bit presumptuous to ask a person to choose. What say you, sommeliers? Normalize two water goblets?
