Surprised I went to this one to be honest, & I barely did. So glad I went! I had to go. Come on now!!! My PUNK card would have been permanently revoked for sure if I didn’t go to a concert that had the original SEX PISTOLS “band” lineup playing. The band who wrote & played the songs from their only studio “Never Mind the Bollocks” LP, that I first heard in the 5th grade and who I immediately fell in love with. Glen Matlock + Steve Jones + Paul Cook (who was 25 feet way from me). Are you kidding me?!?! I’ve air banded it to all of these songs more then any other band, that I had constantly played in my childhood home, all the way to right now on this very day and forever will.

The reason I almost didn’t go is simply because…

With no Johnny Rotten - the snotty singer who we all loved to hate - I thought it is just not “the” Sex Pistols. I felt it is the band’s version of karaoke with a guest singer Frank Carter, who absolutely killed it! Some examples would be like seeing The Misfits with a different singer than Danzig. Circle jerks without Kieth Morris. Cheap Trick with no Robin Zander. This one will really make my point - Minor Threat with the original musicians, but no Ian MacKaye. However, Frank Carter is the perfect fit for the band. So much energy with his snarky spark just like they used to have, compared to the now lofty Lydon, who is no longer Rotten.

Legends are legends, and the legends killed it tonight. Big time! I can now say I saw the Sex Pistols, which I was never able to say until right NOW!!!

An amazing night. Thanks to all who were involved for making the night happen. A good night with good friends. #sexpistols
