yesterday was the last day of my sing for hope piano’s stay in greeley square. i thought i would share some of the amazing photos taken by @pianist_without_borders 🎹💛 i loved watching little kids run up and start playing (whether they knew how to or not), seeing people take the time out of their day to sit down and be present, and listening to the beautiful music everyone created. i’m so grateful for @singforhope, for good weather, and for @salpal.c for teaching me to play the best happy birthday ever :^)

When I saw the theme Let Hope Bloom, I knew Imagine was the right song to bring that message to life. 😊🎹✨... This amazing Sing Hope Piano was designed by Elle Liu.

Sanskar and I attended a popup for Mother's Day and got this cool custom greeting card to surprise our mom with. Thank you to the Escargot team for hosting this and huge shoutout to the artist, Elle Liu, for drawing the portrait 🙂

Preserving and celebrating my mother’s journey to the U.S could not have been in more of a better place than the @thriveartexhibit in NYC, a space full of Indo-Caribbean artists sharing their stories in the city that started a new beginning for so many of our parents and grandparents 🇬🇾💌

“The artist attempted to find out more information about her ancestry using books, archives , and social media, but was left in a “grey space” where she did not gain much knowledge about her own ancestors. “Found Grey” is a photographed interview with the artist’s mother and grandmother asking about their knowledge of the first ancestor to emigrate to Guyana. The piece reflects on how difficult it is to trace ancestry for those who have family history experiencing indentureship and enslavement.”

Team Nicki is spending today recovering from an amazing weekend! The Nickis (@nickiishamel @nickrymer) want to thank @callmemintjelly and the rest of the amazing crew @thecloudcity for everything they did to make CATS such a huge success. We also want to thank all of the amazing artists who were in the show! We loved putting up your work. Hearing cat art origin stories, seeing reference cat photos and learning cat names was the best!
Thanks to everyone who came out to the show, the people who bought cat art and supported @whiskers_agogo.
We may be recuperating, but our website never gets tired! Art from the show is online and available until December 22nd. Do yourself a favor and buy a cat art today!

The CATS Are Coming!
We’ve been getting cat art in the mail all week, and today is the first drop-off day. We’re so excited to share a sneak peek of some of the pieces that will be in the show this Saturday.

Later this week, a full preview will be up on teamnicki.com.
Make sure to come out to @cloudcity on Saturday, December 13th for the show! We’ve got over 30 artists working in photography, painting, collage, sculpture, and more. With artworks priced from $30 to $2,000, there is something for everyone.

We even have a “Draw Your Own Cat” station for kids (and kids at heart).

Can’t make it to the show? Artwork will be available online starting 6 PM EST on Saturday!
