Dore Alley: Inflatable giant collapses on me. The show goes on, now sans my primary source of shade; I return home with my worst sunburn of the year.

@folsomstreet: Inflatable giant tries dropping city infrastructure on me. I lose my voice around hour 8 of 14; in the final match I am whispering into the microphone like a hostage sending an SOS disguised as wrestling play-by-play. I get a strand of barbed wire stuck in my outfit; decide it’s best not to risk ruining my manicure to untangle it all.

@petalumapride: I buy a snow cone with the 5 minutes I have to myself. It returns to its syrupy roots before I get a chance to eat it. I dare to treat myself to book 3 of closest friends in the business to wrestle each other; one tries using another to kill a mascot bystander. My life flashes before my eyes as I try to imagine how to spin this into a sponsor deliverable.

@bearrisonsf: Show is rewritten, by hand, at least 8 separate times as talent are stranded in bridge traffic. Just as I’ve finished rocking Mabel to sleep under the table, I’m asked to run over to do play by play on a couple chess games; to my horror, what I see actually makes sense to me. Maybe I could have gone to a good college after all.

35 hours on-site. 22 miles walked.

14 hours of wrestling, 36 matches, several debuts, community member cameos, and title feuds, including the first ever Leather Fair Triple Crown between two of the best wrestlers on the West Coast.

All for the people. All in honor of their great power.

Thank you to all of the wrestlers, performers, fellow producers, and everyone who breathed life into our work. Thank you to @therealstoneru for making sure we had a stage to do this work upon. To create art with integrity takes a village.

Every day you show up somewhere a billionaire would prefer you not to be, you are granting life to resistance. Thank you to all the fans, fair regulars and new faces that gave the locker room cause to lace up their boots.

One of the most electrifying moments from this year‘s deadlift competition. This is “Fabiola” @meatsuit5000 lifting 315 pounds. Listen to that crowd, they just love it when they see a lifter giving everything they have. So much good energy. I love this. Thank you San Francisco (the lifters, the crowd) and thank you Bearrison street fair for giving us this space. @bearrisonsf #grateful #inspired #deadlifting #lgbtqpowerlifting #queerpowerlifting
