NoDak 2026 and my FIRST out of state whitetail!

I’ll try and keep it short

Social media and the love for whitetails and sheds led @shaezeidler and I chatting almost everyday for the last 3 years. A ND invite from him led to a Kansas invite from me pending draw results. The goal for me was to try for velvet unfortunately work got in the way so I had to push it back a week. A 12 hour night shift then 3 hours of sleep and a 10 hour drive later I was in ND meeting Shae for the first time!

Night 1 was everything we expected perfect wind, right deer but no camera light…… (I thought Shae wanted to kill me when I said not enough shooting light as the deer stood broadside in the foodplot at 10 yds) but we had a cold front roll through the next evening and there he was again at 7 yds and plenty of camera light! 3 days prior this exact 5 year old had his velvet but luck would have it he’d shed it right before I got there.

I can’t thank Shae and his wife enough for treating me like family for a few days! This may become an annual trip! See you in November buddy!
