Media Day at @beastresidency ⚽📷🇺🇲

We’re not looking for perfect videos. We work to improve every day.

I grew up playing soccer in the streets and at the park, without the tools or training opportunities we can offer today. That’s why I value watching these three girls learn, make mistakes, and keep developing with the ball.

At @beastresidency , we work daily on dribbling, coordination, and body control to build a strong technical foundation.

We connect that foundation to 1v1 2v1 3v2 situations and small-sided games, where our student-athletes must observe, decide, and solve problems. Our goal is to develop their technical skills and the confidence to apply them in the game.

We often talk about what’s missing in development. I believe we also need to bring ideas and make changes wherever we can.

For a while, I’ve been thinking about something I notice as a coach, scouting many student-athletes play soccer, but rarely sit down to watch a full match.

That’s why today we introduced Soccer Culture at @beastresidency . Each group will watch one full match per week, split into two 45-minute sessions, with simple questions to answer in writing and turn in every Friday.

The goal? To help them connect more deeply with the sport. To observe, ask questions, and discover that they can also learn from a good decision, an off-the-ball movement, or a different way to solve a situation on the field.

I want them to understand that they also have a role in their own development. Coaches guide them and training gives them tools, but their curiosity can take that learning much further.

To understand the game, you have to watch it too. ⚽📺
