It’s a Christmas miracle! Diva Blue got out to Koot’s tonight to see a show. And not just any show: it started with the Drew Erickson band playing laid back, country guitar rock. Next up, the incredible hip-hop freestyle of Alaska ThunderFunk. Finishing up the night my favorite punk boys, Sideways! What a great time. Excellent sets! If you missed it, never fear—I brought a taste of the party to you (presented in reverse order, because I’m tired).

seek these bands out. #officialsideways #alaskathunderfunk #drewerickson #hiphop #punk #koots #livemusic #supportlocalmusicians #giglifeart

I forgot to put my poster up last night! Will just catch you up: This week’s show was themed “Suddenly”… as in suddenly an entire flock of tiny birds landed on my car just as I’m about to open the door and walk up to the studio. Diva that I am, I took this as a sign; this led to a night full of songs by Billy Ocean, The Motels, Caribou, The Carpenters, Dee C. Lee, Little Shop of Horrors and Les Miserables. We finished out the night with Marvin Gaye and his criminally underrated album, Vulnerable. #suddenly #suddenlyseymour #suddenlychange #suddenlylastsummer #birdssuddenlyappear #suddenlybillyocean #suddenlymusic #suddenlysoul #suddenlyvulnerable #giglifeart
