Ondo was…delicious.

Lmao my @xcllntt friend always asks me whenever I tell him where I’m at or went to why I like going to the “trenches” and it’s because I like to travel. Very much, I’m curious about the world, my country and it honestly doesn’t make sense to me that I’m in the South-West and won’t visit neighbouring states especially when what I spend in a few days can take me there, afford me a good time —which mostly is just some peace and quiet with good food and loved ones— and bring me back.

So far, I’ve been to a number of states—Kwara, Ekiti, Ondo and Oyo— and for most of them, I’ve been honoured to have been hosted by family of friends, people who I all consider my family.

Ondo was amazing. I got to see the family of my girl @theblessingadefemi it was exciting to see all of them in person and I’m still so grateful for the experience. I was babied, I was pampered— two eggs in my meal you guys, lmao the way I was taken aback when I opened the cooler—, it was amazing. I also got to see my loctitian and baby girl @hairdate_naturals who is not just in the business of showing off on my hair but also in the business of feeding me and my friend @timrinmo which was totally unplanned lol

Grateful. Thank you Jesus.

I’ll be alright. We’ll all be alright. Things do get better, so long as you continue showing up for yourself. I didn’t always believe that. I didn’t always have the strength and hope to see that everything was going to work out.

Sometimes we just need to look back on the words that have gone before us. Words of promise and prophecy, words of peace and love, from those who love us. Look closely at your life and see how much people have shown up for you. Your pain is valid but look outside of your problems for a little while. There’s a lot you’re missing.

When i put together this video, I really began to see just how blessed I am. The amount of people that love and believe in me is a balm to my soul. I know I’ll be alright because when you have such a strong support system there really is no way you’ll stay on the ground. Their love will go before you to make the way smoother. That has been my story, and I hope it’s yours too. I hope you know that with just enough love, you can conquer the world.

To everyone in this video, and those behind the scenes, I love you all so much. I wouldn’t be here without you!

The audio might be the caption, but I’ll say this: If you’re one of the many currently going through a rough patch in your life, where it feels like you’re stuck in a web, then this is for you. This is your reminder to hold on to hope as you step into this new week.

It might have been a long winding road of pain and disappointment, but there are better days ahead. You’ll see. One day, you’ll wake up and find that the pain is gone.
