Our annual road trip to Adelaide for the @festival_of_halloween has a new look: can you spot the difference? Felt like queens of the road in our new (hired) wheels. It was our first one without our little mate @billytheblueheeler but we brought his fave toy, Teddy, along for the ride. @beatsss72

Not the result anyone wants but a great effort by @sydneyswansaflw! Such a beautiful day for the footy. Congrats on 59 games @cynthiahamiltonn! @beatsss72 @aflwomens

Reintroducing Tilly, our foster puppy who has found her forever home - with us! She won us over with her adorable face, cheeky antics, impeccable side eye and snuggability. She loves shredding toys, claiming the best spot on the couch but not so much walking outside amid all the ‘dangers’ of the street (birds, harmless pedestrians, passing cars) but she is improving every day! Thanks so much @dmrescuevictoria for giving us the chance to meet her. She’s a keeper. @beatsss72

When I moved to London as a backpacker there was a saying about how travellers got a ‘Heathrow Injection’. Basically an extra 5kg because of the beers / snakebites we were very likely to drink and the stodgy food. Scotland and Northern Ireland haven’t done that much damage, but wow did we have some incredible food, Guinness, whiskey tastings and more! Thanks to @thehungrygull @thebushmillsinn @guinness @mc_hughs_bar @kellys_cellars @visitglenarmcastle @beehiveinn @the_mercat and so many more! @beatsss72

“We are the Cats of Istanbul. We don’t care much for tourists, apart from when you offer us snacks. We go where we want, nap where we want and basically rule this city. We eat the offerings left by the locals in shopfront doorways and consider it tribute to our divine beauty. If you are lucky you might spot 15 of us on a short taxi ride. We are bored with you now. Begone.”

Opening night in Istanbul and we behave like the rockstars we are with a disco transport from the airport (lights unintended), amazing dinner at @akliselimocakbasi and a traditional hammam Turkish bath (picture a lot of water pitched over you by an attendee, being scrubbed with a kitchen scourer and being drenched in fragrant foam), 50-minute massage and beer at a rooftop bar. How will we ever return to normal life? @beatsss72

That one time in Northern Ireland when we chose to get home along a very dark and narrow road from the pub … and lived to tell the tale! #bushmills @beatsss72

Have you heard of sea glass? It wasn’t something on my radar on this trip until @beatsss72 started to search for it on beaches we passed. Essentially it is shards of glass from beer bottles and other sources that have been smoothed by the ocean over 20-100 years (Chat Gipitty says some of ours are that old). Here’s some photos from our adventure from Carrickfergus up the gorgeous Antrim coast including the @unesco site of Giant’s Causeway, phenomenal hexagonal basalt structures on the coast. #northernireland

An epic morning at the @gotstudiotour south of Belfast! Incredible to see the scale of the sets, costumes, CGI and production of this iconic series. Do I want to now rewatch 73 hours of it? Yes, yes I do. #gameofthrones @beatsss72

Amazing Belfast craic thanks to the fabulous @_rosesmyth_ and Jimmy! We can’t thank you enough for making such a huge effort to meet us and give a cracking introduction to Northern Ireland. We almost managed to ‘split the G’ on our first taste of Guinness here. We’ll keep trying 😛. So wonderful to spend quality time with you both and get a taste of Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter nightlife. #belfast @beatsss72

Scotland does moody beaches, cool fishing huts and (of course) castles pretty well. #cuil #onich #castle stalker @beatsss72

When you realise all you needed today was a bit of forest bathing in the Scottish Highlands. (Also spotted where Hagrid’s hut was for the Harry Potter films in the distance.) #signalrock @beatsss72 #glencoe
