The EDE Youth team is still taking this in…

Betty Aristide-Augustin had the incredible honor of serving as the Master of Ceremonies at the Global Peace Ambassador Conclave (CSW70) Diplomatic Luncheon held at the United Nations Delegates Dining Room in New York 3/12/26.

To stand in that space representing purpose, advocacy, and impact on a global level is something we do NOT take lightly.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Bass @ippdr_diplomacy for this opportunity and for trusting Betty to help lead such a prestigious and meaningful event.

As a Global Peace Ambassador, this moment is a reminder that the work of EDE Youth goes beyond borders. Every room we enter is an opportunity to uplift voices, create change, and stand firmly in purpose.

Betty carries EDE Youth everywhere she goes, our youth, our mission, and our future.

This is bigger than one person.
This is impact.
This is purpose in motion.

This is EDE Youth. 💚

✨ An Evening of Cultural Legacy ✨

💙 INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION ❤️ 🇭🇹

On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at One Police Plaza, we had the pleasure of joining HALEFO’s 3rd Annual Celebration of Haiti’s 222nd Independence Day. Thank you so much for the invitation and warm welcome.

We were greeted with a beautiful Welcome Address from Sgt. Kethly Jean, President of HALEFO, setting the tone for an evening filled with pride, unity, and cultural excellence.

The Founding Fathers would be proud! Soup Joumou and dinner were served, honoring our history, resilience, and freedom.

We were in a room filled with 95% Haitian police officers proudly wearing their Class A uniforms; truly powerful and inspiring to witness.

🎤 Det. Siyedah Taylor served as Master of Ceremony for the

Ceremonial Unit.
🇭🇹 PO Minerva Joanus blessed us with the Haitian National Anthem.

Prayer was led by Deputy Chief Chaplain Father George Anastasiou.🙏🏾

🎙️ Keynote Speaker: PO Paul-Edwin Maurice

Powerful remarks were also delivered by Commissioner Lynelle Maginley-Liddie, NYC Department of Correction.
🇭🇹 Special remarks were shared by Consul General of Haiti, Jean Ary Ceant, honoring our nation’s legacy and future.

👏🏾 A special highlight of the evening was the amazing performances by Det. Sergo Lubin, Det. Richard Pierre-Francois, and PO Rulz Noel…truly impactful and unforgettable!

🎶 And when I tell you the energy shifted when DJ PO Widny CYlet took it away with music that brought us right back home to Haiti! 🇭🇹🔥

It was an amazing event, and we are truly honored and grateful to have been among the attendees. 💙❤️🇭🇹
