Bring on the next 4 weeks where I try to develop the following skills
🔸aggression towards something that is heavy and hard
🔶knee lockout for squats and deads
🔶trust and faith that I have all the time in the world and the coach and crew to get me where I want to go and it doesn’t have to be all at once.
🔶knowledge that consistency and determination pays off

💥This week’s theme is ‘send’ and week 8 out of 12 in the lead-up to “Blood and Metal’ - qualifier comp for next year’s CAPO Nationals.

☔️Kicking off with squats this week. Last week was tough, and I didn’t love my squats, so the big jump this week made me a little nervous. But I did get some fine-tuning on Thursday - ie back to basics workshop!

☀️Warm-ups - 65kg, 85kg, 105kg, 115kg.

*️⃣Top set was 122.5kg - not far off my best comp squat in sleeves, 125kg (Aug ’26).

⏭️Back-offs were 110kg x 2 for 3 sets.

What a week - massive physically taxing day Monday and then three training days in a row to follow.
Didn’t think I had it in me today but got through it pretty well I’d say.

Woah some crazy bar path going on there in all but maybe the first? 🫣🫠 got some work to do I reckon! Always more to fix. 🤷🏼‍♀️ which is one of the many things I love about powerlifting 💟💪🏻

Rainbow Classic 3. 20.09.2026. Strong Brisbane Gym.

My first comp of 2026, and had a very fun day with a lot of friends (and shared the platform with lots of friends too) 🥰 went 8/9, PB’ing my squat and deadlift (152.5kg deadlift, always my favourite lift of the day!) I had a really good prep this time around, these days I don’t overthink my preps and comps. I come in, do the work, and the results speak for themselves.
Thank you to all my pals for coming to watch and support, and those supporting from a far too! ☺️ and thank you to my bestie @youngwolves for coming along for the support too and filming my lifts.
Thank you @merrynmayhem for handling me on the day, I have all the time in the world for you my fellow neuroDEVIANT baddie 🥰 and of course biggest thank you to my coach @shaniaradke_ for literally everything haha, and having you there on the day was the BEST EVER! Next up, Blood & Metal VII at @belowparallelbc
