Some homes are beautiful. And then there are the homes that make you want to slow down and stay awhile. 🤍

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing a recent project with @hannahtyler_home in Michigan—a cottage Hannah and her husband, Tyler, renovated as their little piece of Michigan for the summer months.

Although they call Florida home, they spend their summers here, and this cottage feels like the perfect reflection of that slower, lighter way of living.

Every detail was thoughtfully considered. The spaces are bright and coastal, but never cold. Beautiful, but still incredibly warm and welcoming. Natural textures, soft colors, collected pieces and all the little details that make a house feel like home.

Hannah and Tyler have created something really special, and I always look forward to seeing what they’re dreaming up next. Their design has this effortless coastal brightness that makes you want to open the windows, let the light in, and stay awhile.

It was such a joy to photograph this space and collaborate with them again. There’s something pretty magical about photographing a home where every detail tells a story—and this one certainly did. ✨

“At Home” with @aimeemazzenga 📸☕️

I’ll be bringing up new gems from this workshop for a long time to come.

Some of my reflections include:

~ let it breath. The sentence, the thought, their question, happy hour, the moment
~ there are fewer rules than you think
~ you’re not alone
~ let it be. Let the moody day give moody shots, the dark room look dark, the weird shades be proof of life.
~ you have plenty to be proud of

Each of these ~ and more ~ were just what I needed. In this amazingly creative and lively industry, I spend most of my work hours alone. Settling in for a day of community among likeminded photographers from all walks of life was a gift.

Thank you, Aimèe, for planning this day for us, and for sharing from your well of knowledge and experience. Being in your and @jonnymendez__ ‘s home was inspiring and so lovely.

Xo!

Power room, but make it unforgettable ✨

Our client leaned into bold personality with the bathroom renovation and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results!

Mixing playful pattern, rich color, and timeless finishes for a space that feels both elevated and fun.
We removed an underutilized closet to open up the footprint, instantly elevating the space and allowing for a more functional, intentional layout.
From the statement deep wallpaper to the moody navy paneling and that unexpected pop of coral on the vanity… every detail was designed to make you smile! Finished with warm brass accents and classic tile for just the right balance of charm and sophistication.

Proof that small spaces can make the biggest impact.

Would you go bold in your bathroom? 👇🏻

A true testament to thoughtful design, elevated creativity, and exceptional craftsmanship. ✨

This full exterior transformation by Harbor Home goes far beyond a simple refresh, every inch was intentionally reimagined, including all-new custom trim installed throughout the entire home, creating a cohesive, refined, and elevated architectural finish.
What was once a traditional facade is now a striking, welcoming statement: crisp white brick, warm natural wood columns, tailored black accents, and a front porch that feels both modern and timeless. The new custom trim frames each detail with precision, adding depth, contrast, and luxury to the overall design.
This renovation isn’t just a visual upgrade it’s a complete redefinition of the home’s first impression. A beautiful reminder that true luxury lives in the details and Harbor Home delivered every one with excellence, done beautifully.

There is something magical about watching a space come to life from the very first sketch…. Especially when it turns out this good.
This renovated bathroom feels like a breath of fresh air: crisp subway tile, warm natural wood, and a moody black slate floor that grounds the whole room. The custom arched niche adds the sweetest architectural wink, and that oversized shower head?! 👌🏼
Pure everyday luxury!
It’s modern, it’s light, it’s functional and carries just enough personality to make mornings feel a bit charming.
Here’s to thoughtful details, hardworking spaces, and homes that feel as good as they look.✨
