Last cheer camp post…a little bit late. I want to dedicate this post specifically towards NCA staff. I have attended NCA cheer camp all four years of high school. Freshman year I just rolled along with it and felt more like an obligation. The three years after that I finally started understanding why I loved cheer so much. Both my sophomore and junior year I received a pin it forward award from a cheerleader…fast forward to senior year, I had two staffers choose me to give me my own pin it forward award which meant the world to me. The last three years I have also been an All-American Nominee and have brought home all blue ribbons for our performances! On top of that I was offered an invitation to become part of the NCA family. I never considered being a member of NCA until this year and for the absolute best reason ever! Each year I loved camp more, but this year was a completely different feeling. Hands down this has been my favorite camp and favorite group of staffers (without disregarding my past staffers) I have had in my four years of camp. Not only did I learn how to be a better cheerleader and a captain to my team but also how to become better as a person and how much of an impact you can have on someone’s life. I can genuinely say that this group of NCA staff has stood out to me, treated me like family, and made my senior year one full of memories! This group of NCA cheerleaders has left a mark on my heart and truly redefined family and being a cheerleader. God knew I needed to experience what I did with them and I am more than happy that I got to meet each and every one of them. Their smiles and genuine happiness made me WANT to join their family. This is why America needs cheerleaders!! They are the reason I look forward to my senior year as captain and why I will forever love my 2024 Sam Houston NCA staff! Thank you for everything! Each of you helped me in ways you cannot even imagine! From Natalia, thank you @ncacheer for giving me the best group of staffers I could’ve ever wished for! ❤️🤍💙

Yes we were complete strangers.

Story time:
Our first time to meet was on the drive down to New Orleans for the cruise 🤪 Yes some will say well is that smart or safe. We both Alive & Well. Period.
I posted in a @facebook Group (Black Women ATX) after we had a few people drop out last minute . I am a person who moves through life with good energy & vibes. As soon as me & Becca spoke on the phone I naturally felt that from her & the feeling was mutual.
On the LONGGGGG drive down we got to know each other & instantly connected 🤞🏾
She is simply amazing & a vibe ! Yes things Absolutely could have went left but they went RIGHT the way they needed too🙌🏾

NOW EVERYBODY & EVERY EXPERIENCE IS NOT LIKE THIS. So decided for YOU and always trust your gut . We both are very adventurous, love people & love to travel ✈️ Definitely more memories to make 🥂
