Our team has been lucky to have Becca Wasserman as our summer intern! Today was her last day, and we’re so thankful for everything she has contributed, from helping manage the Best of NOCO ballot and publishing press releases to capturing photos. To top it all off, Becca is closing out her internship with an online article.

We’ll miss her, but we’re excited for her to enjoy her senior year at CSU!

‌
💭 Lately, I’ve found myself in rooms I used to only dream of. And I don’t mean the shiny, bougie kind.
‌
😂 I mean rooms filled with women who belly laugh, lift each other up, and actually see one another.
‌
🏆 Being nominated in @nocostylemagazine Best Of NOCO is incredible.
‌
😭But the part that gets me choked up?
‌
💗 It’s that we got here just by being me/us. By building something that feels more like a second home and sanctuary than a business.
‌
💬 I/We didn’t do this with ad campaigns or big strategies. I/We did it by having real conversations behind the chair.
‌
⚧️ By holding safe space for our clients, who became friends, who became family.
‌
🌈 By being the kind of salon where people can show up exactly as they are.
‌
⏳ It took time. It took unlearning a lot of things I thought I had to be to succeed.
It took healing, leadership, and trusting my gut (even when it made zero logical sense).
‌
😮‍💨 I’ve lived in the back of my salon before.
‌
🥺 I’ve been on food stamps while trying to run a business.
‌
😔 I’ve questioned everything and almost gave it all up more than once.
‌
💡 But here’s what I know now,
You don’t have to have it all figured out to build something beautiful. You just need a little courage, a lot of heart, and people around you who believe in the vision with you.
‌
😘 To my team: thank you for riding with me.
🖤 To our clients and community: you’re the reason this is even possible.
‌
🙏To everyone who voted or told a friend or posted a story, thank you from the bottom of my messy, emotional heart.
‌
📣 And yeah… somewhere in the middle of all of this, I realized I have something to say to other stylists trying to find their way too. But that’s for another day.
‌
💖 Today, I’m just really damn proud.
Of this salon.
Of this team.
Of our community.
Of this moment.
‌
🗳️ (P.S. You’ll find His & Her Salon under “Hair Salon” on the NoCo Style ballot 😉, or the link in my/salon bio) We want to win not just be on the ballot!

Meet summer intern Rebecca Wasserman! Rebecca is a senior and is majoring in Graphic Design. This summer she is an intern at NOCO Style Magazine. She’ll be working on magazine design, photography, and advertising. After graduation, she hopes to work full-time with a magazine as a graphic designer and photographer.

While at CSU her photography has been featured in two published magazine issues and earlier this year, she photographed Fort Collins Fashion Week.
She truly loves what she does and is excited to continue pursuing her passion this summer at NOCO Style Magazine!
