✨ Experience the Art of Healing and Reflection ✨

We’re excited to share a glimpse of the @out_from_the_mist exhibition currently on display at Gallery 48 in Townsville. These stunning pieces tell deeply personal stories of mental health, healing, and the human experience.

🖼️ Alter Ego, by Yoko Young khalidahkreations, Detroit, USA: A powerful reflection on overcoming depression. Yoko shares her journey from feeling hopeless to finding light again, describing her past self as an "alter ego" she’s now leaving behind.

🖼️ The lights dim and I adjust to the dark, by Becky_v_ @becky_v_ - Brisbane, Australia: Becky’s introspective piece reflects on the chaos of overthinking, obsessiveness, and the struggle to stay present, visually representing the darker side of the mind.

🖼️ Endless, by Julia Onufreichuk, Melbourne, Australia: Julia beautifully captures the overwhelming nature of grief—its endlessness and unpredictability. The subtle blend of colour and texture evokes the profound feeling of loss and longing.

Come and see these moving works and more at Gallery 48, 48 The Strand, Townsville. The exhibition is on until 5th October, and we encourage everyone to visit and experience these powerful stories of mental health through art.

Let’s keep the conversation going. 💙

“All That Shimmers” a collab with one of my favorite visual artists, @becky_v_ . It was an honor to put some ambient music to her gorgeous and dark video art 🖤.

Enjoy!

Khalil Gibran on Fear

It is said that before entering the sea
a river trembles with fear.

She looks back at the path she has traveled,
from the peaks of the mountains,
the long winding road crossing forests and villages.

And in front of her,
she sees an ocean so vast,
that to enter
there seems nothing more than to disappear forever.

But there is no other way.
The river can not go back.

Nobody can go back.
To go back is impossible in existence.

The river needs to take the risk
of entering the ocean
because only then will fear disappear,
because that’s where the river will know
it’s not about disappearing into the ocean,
but of becoming the ocean.

~ Khalil Gibran
