I thought I knew how this story was going to unfold. I kept telling myself I knew what was going to transpire.

I was wrong.

Veins of Power by @beckyjanefox took me on an emotional rollercoaster. It made me laugh, it made me anxious, and above all, it devastated me.

She had a way of making you so emotionally attached to her characters that you feel like you are right there alongside them, experiencing everything they do.

So many thoughts to unpack. But one I'm certain of is you NEED to read this book.

When piracy becomes a problem

I saw a post by @beckyjanefox who's book Veins of Power entered the top 100 on @amazon recently. Yes the top 100. Not for a specific category the whole thing!!! If you've not heard her @bookjuicepodcast episode go listen to that now. She breaks down how to successfully market as an indie Author. It's blooming incredible.

She was speaking about how people have pirated old copies of her manuscript and are posting them online for people to steal. These people who stole her work then had the audacity to write reviews saying her book Veins of Power isn't as good as everyone says it is. Of course not. You're reading an early draft of it you Muppet!! The final version - the one with all the good reviews is available to buy on Amazon. You can also go to her insta page and take a look. It even has a different cover!

Anyway it got me thinking and I feel like this is an accurate analogy for what the people who stole her book did 😜

Listen, you're probably thinking I've been kidnapped because WHERE ARE ALL THE COWBOYS

But just listen.

After I read Threshing Day I realized how much I missed romantasy and other genres so then I read North Country and last night I finished September Doves, actually that's a lie, IT FINISHED ME.

I am currently buddy reading Strung Along with @jp.reads.smut and then I'm diving right into Summer Sparrow because HOW CAN I NOT AFTER SEPTEMBER DOVES

I will also be reading ACOTAR 6 when it comes out because people love to be dicks and ruin it so you best believe I'm going to read it the day it comes out.

AND

I saw @jessafterdark12 recommend Veins of Power by @beckyjanefox so of course I IMMEDIATELY put it on my Kindle and I'm ready to start it next week 🐉

Anyways, enjoy my crazy kindle and my small town, romantasy and romantic suspense.

We're on this crazy rollercoaster and I'm loving it.
