📍Lewiston, Idaho

I lived out a career dream of mine. Play in Lewiston, the grand stage of our level and it was truly a privilege. It is a bitter sweet moment as this trip also marked the end of my 6 year journey as a Jaguar. I am beyond grateful for the moments, memories, and the people this program and the city of Victoria have brought into my life. Through the highs and lows, the overcome obstacles, and all of the lessons learned over these 6 years I was blessed through it all and I was taken on the ride of a lifetime. I now leave a 2x Conference Champion, received an RRAC All-Tournament Team award, #2 in program career saves, #2 in program career appearances, and l’Il have a brotherhood that’ll last a lifetime. Not bad for an unrecruited kid with 0 offers out of high school. It’s a résumé I can be proud of and I can confidently say I left my mark. Most importantly, I hope I made a positive impact on all of my teammates past and present. I love this program with all my heart and I gave it all I had. I would relive this chapter all over again in a heartbeat. Thank you to UHV/TAMUV and the city of Victoria for everything. It’s never a goodbye, it’s just a see you later. Unfortunately time doesn’t stop for anyone and it’s hard for me to believe l’Il never get to put on the red and gold again. In true fashion it’s now lights out for 17❤️ (for now)

This is Beck Zimmerman and this is Texas A&M University–Victoria putting a spotlight on one of the most reliable players on the roster this season.

Zimmerman has been steady all year, making his presence felt both behind the plate and at the dish. As a catcher/DH, he’s brought toughness, control, and production every time he steps on the field.

He’s been a key part of the lineup, and it shows in the way he’s delivered in big moments all season long.
