Some personal news 💜

After six extraordinary years, I am stepping down as President of @wiftvic (Women in Film & Television, Victoria).

On paper, taking over an organisation built on networking and live events at the height of COVID was a questionable move. But in reality, it was genuinely the best decision of my life. What can I say? I’m a producer. I love a challenge. 😅

Those locked-down years taught me so much: connection isn’t a nice-to-have in this industry. It’s the whole thing. My first event changed five times thanks to Melbourne’s many.. many lockdowns (Christmas in July, Christmas in August, Spring Fling, New Year New Us, Easter Extravaganza 🎄), and that’s because this community just simply refused to give up on each other. That event is now lovingly known as WIFTmas, and one of the Victorian screen industry’s most beloved networking events.

But all the events were never the point. The people were. Watching strangers become collaborators and collaborators become lifelong friends, first shorts become first features, celebrating the wins, seeing people take the leap... has been one of the great privileges of my life.

One pearl of wisdom from six years in this seat: your community is your career. Lift the person beside you. Share what you know. Turn up to the party!

And the very best news of all: please welcome WIFT Vic’s incoming President, the wonderful @lucinda_bruce!
Lucinda brings a wealth of knowledge and amazing ideas for the future, and I could not be more excited for what comes next.

I’m not going anywhere. You’ll find me cheering from the front row. 💜

Thank you, WIFT Vic. It has been an honour.
With all my love, Lauren x

As 2025 comes to a close, I’m reflecting less on identity and more on impact.
Not titles. Not labels.
But the moments — stronger bodies, calmer minds, deeper breaths, and people choosing themselves again.
I’m deeply grateful to every client who trusted me with their health and wellbeing this year. That trust is everything.
Grateful too for my best half @sangeeta_mulchandani for her constant support, belief, and quiet strength allow me to show up at my best and create the impact I do.
Thank you, 2025, for the lessons and the purpose.
Stepping into 2026 grounded, grateful, and ready to create even deeper impact.

Christmas friends catch up. I forgot to takes pictures with a couple of them so just filled in the blanks with photoshop. Pretty seamless.
