What a fab time we’ve had celebrating Anti-Bullying Week 2024!

Little Mouse is Absolutely, Completely, Totally Fine! is proving to be an empowering resource to encourage children to express their emotions, develop empathy and become body language detectives ❤️🐭

Thank you @kenilworthbooks and @waterstonesredditch for supplying the books this week and to @kenilworth_books_on_the_road for keeping me company and for all the laughs!

And a big shoutout to @antibullyingalliance @empathylabuk @mentalhealthfoundation @mindcharity @booktrust for supporting initiatives that help children navigate their emotions and mental health 👏👏👏

✍🏻 Writing Retreat ✍🏻

Reflecting on the weekend, it proved to me once again how privileged I am to be part of a group of creative and talented women who genuinely care about the success of those around them.

As a group we hold each other up and we are invested in what others choose to create.

A weekend full of laughter, creativity, and friendship. I can’t ask for more than that.

Just back from an inspirational weekend with my fellow authors and creatives. These amazing women have so much talent and I have no doubt that one day their books will line the shelves. We lift each other up, support each other, give advice, brainstorm, cheer each other’s wins, laugh and eat (a lot of) cake 🎂 but most importantly we write ✍🏼✍🏼✍🏼. This group was born from the wonderful writing community and I’m so lucky to have them - thank you ladies ☺️ I can’t wait for the next one! #writing #childrensbooks #childrensauthors @naomijanecreates @kerry.trickett @lucyfalkner @thefairytalemum @bec_tonks_illustrator @amyroweillustrates @amymolden_author @libbyhartwell1

It’s been a whole month since 'Little Mouse is Absolutely, Completely, Totally FINE! illustrated by the super talented @marisamorea and published by the wonderful team @farshorebooks, hit the bookshops, and every time I spot Little Mouse in stores, it’s a dream come true! This book is so close to my heart, and seeing it out in the world is beyond magical. ✨

Yesterday, we celebrated with an amazing Little Mouse story time and activities event at @waterstones_solihull Huge thanks to the wonderful staff for taking such good care of me, and to everyone who joined us – especially the little ones! 🐭💕 There is now a Little Mouse activity trail instore, and signed copies of Little Mouse with a special message from me. ❤️

A BIG shoutout to my lovely writing buddies @bec_tonks_illustrator and @julietteamandalloyd who surprised me with their visit! Jules who runs her own copywriting and creative marketing business @juliette_lloyd_literary has been a
superstar in helping create the Little Mouse reels and promo materials. She’s absolutely brilliant at what she does, and I can’t recommend her enough! 🌟 #goteammouse

I’m so grateful to @beckybagnell & @emmadods1 and to everyone who has bought a copy of Little Mouse and cheered us on. 🥰

Next stop: school visits! Let’s have fun talking about feelings! 💬❤️ #littlemouseisfine

Walsall Writers’ Circle was delighted to showcase their writing at the 2024 Wolverhampton Literature Festival, which took place on 2-4 February 2024.

Nine WWC members showcased a variety of their work during the event, including poetry and prose on the theme of what home means to us.

The 2024 event was Wolverhampton Literature Festival’s eighth year, providing a platform for the creative voices of Wolverhampton and the West Midlands and championing the local writers’ groups who meet across our region.
